MBAA:CC installation guide
http://pastebin.com/NKQddDbu

attention: mauve released a patch, it reduces delay.
http://mauve.sandwich.net/misc/mbaacctool-v11-delaytest.zip

rename your crack to MBAA.exe, the tool launches MBAA.exe
or
put the 3 files in your mbaacc folder
rename your MBAA MK2.exe to MBAA.exe
then launch the game using mbaacctool.exe

>> No.8373073

Does Mauve's patch help us poor wireless people in any way? Delay's not the problem, stability, and the way MBAAC's netplay has a seizure with every little hiccup, is.

if anyone wants to try their hand at translating the arcade mode storyline.

remove the file 0007.p and put this in there instead, and the game will read from the files directly.

for translation it looks like full width letters are needed to work right.

bleh.

due to some complications, I won't be able to work on the trainer for a while, even though I really want to fix the G. Akiha crash fix crash fix (... what?). so what I'm going to do is add the bosses in and add a manual eclipse mode switch to the trainer. just keep in mind that it needs to be turned off while using non-boss characters.

i'll post the aforementioned version up a bit later.

i think the eclipse should also work on playable miyako, archetype and ries. they have the files for that.

unpacking the files and then setting them up so that the game uses them rather than archives has some advantages btw. like manually making it impossible for g_akiha to crash by giving her all moon-type movesets, or adding more stages, fixing ryogi's music and giving it text/image etc.

now if i only knew which file has the actual select screen data, unless the specific characters/stages are disabled through the exe.

I counted Archetype and Ries as boss characters, though. (Archetype is a secret boss in arcade mode; I think you need to get to stage 7/8 without losing a round, replacing Eclipse Ryougi, and Ries is a boss for Neco Arc I think? I'm not sure about the latter.)

Miyako doesn't work though, but that's no problem as Boss Miyako is a separate character.

if you're set on playing on a gamepad then get yourself a logitech precision, they cost around $10 and is probably the best pc fighting gamepad on the market (i'm using one right now, the one without the analogue sticks).

http://reviews.logitech.com/7061/301/logitech-precision-gamepad-reviews/reviews.htm

but i heard logitech doesn't make them anymore so if you can't find any online then get either one of these (i personally don't like the springy shoulder buttons and analogue sticks get in the way).

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/controllers

or better yet, get a ps3 dualshock 3 controller or a low entry stick.

Once you know your combos, it's all grinding match experience and watching match videos. Figure out what blockstrings work, what you should do in neutral game, how to get out of pressure, etc.

first try to do something with the translating stuff. you'll also need to remove 0004.p and replace it with the contents of the first file to get the halfwidth font from mirrormoon's mbac working.

then integrate the second one with the files from
http://www.mediafire.com/?0ax9a0pbnxjybe8

are you torrenting something?

Yeah, sorry, that was getting unplayable. Also loved how every 2369A turned into CAT LEAP into the corner. I'd blame the lag, but I know my execution is shit. Great work, me.

Neco Mech and Koha Mech are the closest to what you're looking for, followed by the maids.

That's bizarre... it worked just a few days ago, and my ports are all forwarded...

No, just MBAACC's netcode sucking. WC is usually fine (4-5 delay, which is still 2-3 higher than it was with Caster) with a few spikes every now and then for me. That was definitely on the outer edge though and got progressively worse for some reason.

ggs, thanks for playing and trying a bunch of characters. I finally managed to actually do my bnb combo for once when we disconnected.

>>8378908
If it worked a few days ago but not today, you may not have a local static IP set up. You forwarded the ports to what your local IP was a few days ago, but when you connected to the router again today it gave you a different ip address (using DHCP). That'd be my guess.

Ahh, I bet that's it. Just got back from vacation so everything got turned off/back on.

Time to muck about with my router again... I hate networking.
