I'm at my wit's end. I've been trying for like 3 hours to get Ever17 to work properly.
I CAN NOT get the cutscene videos to play on Windows7.
I tried uninstalling CCCP, changing the default directshow filters, nothing fucking works.

Please halp.
I asked on /a/, they told me to to come here.

-Watch them on youtube
-Move on with the game

If you can't advance past the cutscenes:

I searched the internet for about 3 hours.

And yes, I've tried with ZERO codecs.
It doesn't fucking work, I can't even get to the title screen.

I've even tried re-encoding the videos to a more modern format because they're all MPEG1-PS (which is a decade old and no longer supported format, even when this game was new).

If you press esc while at the black screen where the opening movie should play it'll take you to the title screen. You should be able to skip all the other cut scenes in the game by doing the same.
