So I downloaded this today, how do I into this game?
I had to dig out my gamepad because my keyboard wouldnt work for the game, but that doesnt really matter.
Questions:
Joystick vs d-pad?
In fear of sounding like a retard, how do I block attacks?

>> No.8369785

>>8369753
Hold back.

If its a low attack block, block low
If its an aerial or overhead attack, block high
You can block in the air but most ground normals are air-unblockable

>> No.8369786

>>8369753
You block by holding the opposite direction your enemy is located. Just hold "back". You have to watch out though, because some attacks must be blocked standing, some must be blocked while crouching.

>Joystick vs d-pad
It comes down to preference. Most people prefer the d-pad as far as I know, but you really should try both and see what fits you. Also, it depends on the kind of controller you have, because xbox360 gamepads have horrible d-pads, you can't do anything with those.

Also a bit of advice: be prepared to be fucking floored in this game if you are a beginner. But don't let this discourage you, you can only get better at this game by playing others and figuring out through losses how to play.

you need to extract 0007.p and then move all of the folders that come out of that into the root of the game, then move the 0007.p file somewhere else.

when that's done, the game will search for the package, and if it fails finding it it'll look for uncompressed contents (in this case the story folder and all of the stuff inside, like battle folder, st_name, st_face and window and all their contents) so as long as the folder and resources are there, you can edit it and have the edits appearing in the game easily.

i probably need better tools or knowledge of the scripting though, chunks of the text are randomly disappearing depending from tiny changes.

Not trying to defame anyone or make excuses, it's just an honest observation. Whether the connection is at fault or it's merely psychological, I don't know, but the truth is that I drop considerably more combos and inputs when playing against you than with anybody else, and oftentimes it feels like it really shouldn't have happened.

If the same happened to somebody else, then it might be something worth looking into, just to make sure, is all.

So what was the point of the steam groups? I have yet to see any netplay be organized in them.

That's a router address.

bleh.

due to some complications, I won't be able to work on the trainer for a while, even though I really want to fix the G. Akiha crash. so what I'm going to do is add the bosses in and add a manual eclipse mode switch to the trainer. just keep in mind that it needs to be turned off while using non-boss characters.

i'll post the aforementioned version up a bit later.
