Adding additional functionality to a product is one thing. Replacing entire functions of a product, making hard work obsolete, is an entirely different matter altogether.

And that's basically it. In short it is a bit of a fuck you to the original developers for even trying.

>Using wifi won't really affect ping unless it's a cheap router or you're quite far from it.
That's not really the main problem, even though it does affect the speed to at least some extent.

But you know, the gist of it all is packetloss. Wireless connections are subject to needless packetloss due to noise and shit in the air.
And while all connections are subject to packetloss to some extent, wired connections are at least for one thing, guided more properly, and two, shielded to noise to some extent.

Each time a packetloss occurs, something either fucks up or a lagspike occurs as the game compensates for it.

>> No.8360048

>>8360003
it could be but the chances are low. yes the netplay is shit but i know a lot of melty players and they all have decent pcs that can run this game like butter. we even played on 1920x1200 resolution just for the heck of it and it was lagless, of course we were on the same coast and followed the netplay guideline. it was like playing on a slightly shitty mbac caster.

>>8360028
no it won't affect the latency however wireless not constantly connected to the internet so there will be a packet loss so that's when lag spikes kicks in.

>> No.8360051

>>8360028
The problem as I understand it with MBAACC and wireless is that it has the delay completely hardset on connection, so any kind of minor packet loss at all results in a huge (relatively speaking) spike, and it doesn't buffer at all, so pausing everything to make sure it syncs is the only option it has to fix those kinds of minor hiccups.

I'm on wireless, and I can't even play with people on the same campus as me without spikes, and I've had it completely misread the proper delay a few times because of them too.

new trainer revision:
http://www.mediafire.com/?e5p4f8zpilqaz70

this version:
- adds disabled stages back to Versus Mode
- fixes the looping in Ryougi Shiki's stage music.

regarding the G.Akiha crashes:
if it crashes for you, I need two favors from you.

1) the little code that was in the the Debug box when the game crashed. Just copy and paste it somewhere.

2) run the game and trainer again, but don't enable anything in the trainer. go into training/versus mode, then pick F-Ries and H-Archetype. copy that code too.

then post those two codes here where i can see them. i'd be very grateful to you.

enjoy the trainer.

>we even played on 1920x1200 resolution just for the heck of it and it was lagless
You know, this have far more to do with hardware compatability and ISP routing, than it has to do with raw computing power or internet up and down speeds.

In short, it's because their code is fucked up, you can have a beast of a computer and it can fail because the game just fails when it comes to communicating with it properly.

Personally, I have a good enough connetion speed to run my own server, and my hardware is powerful enough run whatever I can think of, and I still netplay with people on the other side of town, even though I have netplayed flawlessly overseas on a few occasions.

In short, it's more about luck. Does the game like your current situation? How about your opponents'? Is it ok with both of them? Lucky you, you hit the jackpot. Computing power and or internet connection disregarded.

new trainer revision at:
http://www.mediafire.com/?g3xwplyan19okku

also in the folder at:
http://www.mediafire.com/?6p6b4clzz8ea9 (it's l5)

that should fix the bug where the trainer couldn't read the memory -> couldn't tell when it should apply the G. Akiha fix -> didn't apply it -> crash due to G.Akiha attempting to use Crescent Moon.

provided it works as planned, i'll get onto adding the boss characters. if it doesn't... well just post the code you get when it crashes.

That was weird though. The selection screen started out with terrible FPS, but then it sort of fixed itself to the point that one could actually select one's character without a hassle.
But it turns out it hadn't fixed itself, cause the introduction to the match would obviously return to abysmal FPS, but then, like with the selection screen, it fixed itself. Great, and then all that repeated itself. The introduction was horrible, and it fixed itself. And lastly as you noticed, it didn't fix itself at all the third time around.

This netcode really is weird.

Me and my friend regularly play together at higher resolutions, but when we started I had it at a high resolution and he had it at the default and it was unplayable because of the lag. Once we set it to the same resolution the lag disappeared.

I think the conversion from different resolutions causes the game to lag more than the actual resolution, so it's probably better to set it to 600x400 even if your computer can handle higher ones.

You're basically are when I did preform BnB with H Roa, The only problem I had was adjusting to the speed and there we're several rounds where I had my stuff together. Just because I couldn't complete the combos all the time does not mean I was mashing.

Its bad enough I can't mash A for a hit confirm seeing from my experience Roa has some shitty priority.

To put it simple I'm a new player trying to adjust to the game if you wanted a higher level match then you could have played another person.

Tried Miyako for a day, switched to W Len because she's badass. I've never used a keyboard for a fighting game before and it's fucking hard (mainly 241 and 263s). I might buy a gamecube controller adapter because this game is mad fun.

if you're set on playing on a gamepad then get yourself a logitech precision, they cost around $10 and is probably the best pc fighting gamepad on the market (i'm using one right now, the one without the analogue sticks).

http://reviews.logitech.com/7061/301/logitech-precision-gamepad-reviews/reviews.htm

but i heard logitech doesn't make them anymore so if you can't find any online then get either one of these (i personally don't like the springy shoulder buttons and analogue sticks get in the way).

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/controllers

or better yet, get a ps3 gamepad or a stick. by the way gamecube controllers are horrible for fighting games.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely check out those game pads. I only mentioned gamecube because I played SC2 on the cube for a long time and got used to the controls lol.
