If you want a guaranteed method of slaying the panda and ridding yourself of the "pining for the fjords" message you can do what I did.

Using firefox, download the cookies manager+ addon.

(Using the orange button on the top left) click web developer, then cookies manager+.

Check everything and delete every single last cookie. (The next steps never worked for me until I deleted all the cookies and tried again. Pitiable, but in my case I didn't see any other options).

Go to e-hentai and login.

Try to access exhentai

If you get a sad panda in that case -THEN- you'll have to do what I did.

Using cookies manager+ find all the cookies belonging to e-hentai and edit the domain of all the e-hentai cookies to read exhentai (caveat: there's one that you won't be able to edit).

Among those cookies is the password and a hash securing your entry.

Once you save the domain edits on those cookies you should be good to enter.

This needs to be bumped lest the spam threads knock it dead.

There's already a scanlator that works only on Touhou doujinshi, so requesting a "good looking" Touhou item is probably a waste of Claus's kind offer. Sure, there are lots of people here that don't care about wasting a "wild card that works on any doujinshi" upon a doujin just to get it sooner even though that doujin would be on the list of the Cove of Translators, the Touhou scanlators, or one of the other 100 or so scanlators that the spoonfed people here never encounter because they are in foreign countries yet can and do translate into english (like some german ones).

If you think outside the box, then you will realize that there is a HUGE category of items that has been mostly untranslated so far - HCG sets. A good number of them are just like doujinshi except that they do not follow the page panel format and instead use the one color image per page style that all the HCG use. Consider the translated HCG sets (circle Pint Size) that LWB translated released as examples of how much text or stories can exist in a HCG set.

There are also threads for work in kind there such as "editors wanted". If you edit it, then someone might translate it in return for free. Or you can offer some of your e-hentai credits or hath. Since you have crossed the christmas season, you might have received an artifact or crystals in your character inventory and those can be traded for translations (especially artifacts).

That is an example of a highly WASTEFUL request that should not be taken seriously. There are some vocal translators out there that have steered their scanlation group towards denouncing other scanlators that may have released translations faster or of the same title through Doujin-Moe.

If those scanlators don't like someone else's scanlation, they should simply release a scanlation of the same item instead of attacking the other scanlation group or saying that the other competing group stop competing by not releasing anymore. Some of these doujins are clearly going to be translated by the usual major groups. So before you have a VOTE to accept, I think that the first voting should be to decide which ones are MOST LIKELY to be translated or are already on the translation list of the Cove of Translators, etc. As it seems, some people didn't make their selection based on the unlikeliness of the doujin getting translated, but simply on the basis of how much they themselves wanted the item. Their greed would waste the Wild Card Translation.

After you weed out the ones that are going to be translated, then you can properly vote on the ones that are more worthy of using the generosity of this Wild Card Translation.

Lazy people posting requests without picture and just the URL make it harder to choose by looking at this thread. I wish they had shown more sincerity in making their request or checking to see that it is not upcoming for scanlation.

Three have high probability of being scanlated by others. The farthest right picture of the middle row of the greenish haired girl.

If you haven't visited the various yuri sites, then the bottom row has two likely candidates in the third from the right as well as the rightmost picture.

Non-h are less likely to get a translation, so I'll be voting for those. Also, unlike in porn, what they say on non-h doujins is actually important to understand the story.

Shouldn't there be a minimum quality of effort? That one seemed too lazy to even submit a picture so that other people wouldn't waste their time.

OP should be commended for sponsoring this social welfare event. As with all social welfare, there will be users who don't care if they waste it.

The first round of voting should be on which titles have the best chance of being translated by an existing group. Otherwise, you will never weed out the submissions that people were too lazy to check up on because all that these people care about was that ANYone get it translated soon as possible without regard as to wasting this wild card translation opportunity to get something translated that would otherwise never get translated.
