Any tips for procuring autism funds in Australia? I'm going to go about getting some sort of handouts for my anxiety and depression hopefully in the next few months after putting it off for years. Has anyone else done this?

I thought Australia was super elitist or whatever?
Get a job, hippy.

I'm both Australian and experienced in these things, though I'm much more familiar with the process in the states thanks to /jp/. While I've never gone through with it myself in spite of eligibility I've known many people to receive long term welfare for things as simple as Aspergers (which was openly extremely mild) and acute short term depression.

Here it's most difficult to procure if you're living with parents who earn a lot, because the government just assumes they're paying for your plastic crap and anime girl body pillows. Other than that it's fairly easy to get on to any welfare here, you could probably just coast on unemployment if this fails.

Are you clinically depressed? Are you diagnosed with actual anxiety disorders?

Why yes, I am.

I'm very close to being put back into hospital right now as it is. Perhaps a note from my doctor wouldn't hurt my chances?

I still live with my mother who earns a regular wage. I figured this would probably hurt my chances, so I'm going to put my name down for a house while I'm there.

Probably not.
