I just used foobar since I couldnt be bothered getting mp3tag or other stuff. Just converted the cdda straight to v0 and manually key in the song artist and song name.
Pretty sure there are more efficient way but it is not like I will do this everyday so I just did it the manual way.

FB2K has excellent tagging capabilities. It can even accept text from clipboard (e.g. copied from circle's site) and apply the tags automatically.

Vol.3 was my fav for me. After that, they started adding SYO and 709sec. and things got a bit iffy... I mean their voices don't even fit the genre. smh...

I've always thought that Swing Holic is hugely overrated. I love a few of their early instrumental songs like New Locked City, but the solid majority of their music has vicious Engrish singing that completely ruins it. If Aya~ would just sing in Japanese more than 10% of the time, she would be a lovely addition; e.g. 冷たい湖畔のシンフォニア.

Apparently the scans of the Umineko booklet "Our Confession" that were posted a couple threads ago are missing a ton of pages, based on some partial text posted to umineco.info. Has anybody done a rescan of it since then?

Sorry, first time messing with tta + cue sheets. I'm using foobar and I have changed the extension in the .cue from .wav to .tta but foobar still tells me that it (the cue file) cannot be found.

Do I need to do something else? I feel like an idiot to ask this but...

I have a question about encoding, just real quick.

I just got my hands on an extremely high quality .wav in 24bit and, apparently, 2040 kbps. Yes, it's Comiket related, and no, you won't find it on Share or any DDL site.

What and how should I encode it into FLAC? The file is 102mb uncompressed WAV, and that's just crazy.

Actually, I managed to fuckin' grab hold of the original FLstudio project folder/file. I exported it myself in 24bit for the sake of quality, but if 16bit does the job then I might go back and re-export it myself.

Kind of. It's a lot less fanbased. Lot more official companies with booths promoting stuff, lots of panels where you can learn about what your favorite tv shows/movies/games/etc are going to do next season/movie/game. Learn about new shows/movies/games. The comics available for purchase are a lot less deriviative and more original. There are things like posters, prints, figures, but very little in terms of fan-made comics of existing characters and especially porn. At most you'd get nude illustrations and whatever the anime retailers (including J-List) have dragged with them. Fanmade/original games, music, no. American companies would probably get sue-happy if you did that, not to mention the fan culture does not go in that direction here. It's a much different venue and I doubt most people here would like it compared to comike if only because there's a ton of people everywhere and I know some of you guys have trouble with crowds, let alone going outside.

I've gone for the last seven years. It's not free like comike and has actually cost more every year (this year is a record $175 for a four day badge with preview night). Luckily I qualify as a professional so I get my badge free. You can also buy a badge and sell it (they cap the badges sold and demand is very high) for double what you paid for extra money.

I spend very little at comic con. I'd probably spend quite a lot at comike if I ever went.

SDCC is very big company advertising/promotional nowadays. I kind of go only because of legacy in that I've been many times before. There's a few nice things to buy but for most people it's not worth the time, money, or effort to get a badge. NYCC is kind of like SDCC but smaller and on the other side of the country. My boss says it's a little better to network at because it's less packed and hectic. I still wouldn't recommend it for /jp/. If you're going to go to a convention you'd probably have more fun at an anime one like Anime Expo where at least there are jappo seiyuu and a few singers/bands and artists. It still doesn't compare to comike in that there isn't as much fan made stuff to buy except for the people in artist alley (who make items of questionable quality and appeal; some can draw nice and make cute things but you aren't going to run up on a doujinshi, original game, or music). Then again comike can't compare to other conventions in that those conventions have concerts and panels.
