HOW TO HAVE A BETTER NETPLAY EXPERIENCE
1. Make sure your PC can handle MBAA:CC, that means it shouldn't drop below 60FPS at any given time. Netplay uses more resources than playing offline because of QUALITY Japanese engineering so keep that in mind. Optimize it until you get it right in the option settings or save yourself the trouble and buy better PC.
2. Do not download/upload/stream anything while netplaying, it's common sense. Is your download/upload speed good enough for online games? You should know this, if it's not then get a better ISP.
3. Do not use wireless/wi-fi connection, even if it's wireless N your signal drops periodically which causes lag spikes. Wired connection is strongly recommended if you want a good latency & stability.
4. Set your in game resolution to default (640x480). It's still unclear why any resolution higher than the default one causes lag, probably because most people still have shitty computers.
5. Portfoward UDP&TCP 46318 and/or 7500. Required if you want to host the game.
6. Hosts should announce where they're from & skill level when hosting (IP and PORT). It also helps if the challenger shows their location by filling out the comment section under their username (e.g. NA EAST COAST).
7. Character selection lags for some reason so be patient and see if it gets any better when the real match starts.

Yeah, Full moon has high damage combos, but because of the "gattling" links, you don't have a lot of options for mixups. I only play Ryougi and Kouma Full. As for combos, Ryougi can do a 5B2B5C236B236B236B2B5Cj.BCj.BC236C for 5k ish damage. The 236B2B is a bit hard to time, though, with something like a 3 frame window. In the corner, you can do 5B2B5C214A5Bj.BCj.BC236C. If you're too far to do the 236 rekka launcher, you can do 5B2C5C214Cj.C land j.BCj.BC236C. Or if you don't have meter, you can do 5B2C5C22A5Bj.BCj.BC236C. If you don't have meter for the other combos, you can do j.236B instead of j.236C if you need to pick up your knife and air throw if you're in the corner. FKouma is just retarded throw mixups. I'd actually recommend playing Half for new players, 'cause of how strong the mixups are with reverse beats. Going from a 5C to a whiffed 5A, for example, gives you time to go in again for another blockstring.

hosting via Wi-Fi connection (I know it says not to)
60FPS there should be no lag via graphics and slow processing

Above average tier, used to play online all the time hardcore. But there was a huge gap between then and now.

I use H-TohnoShiki, C-Nanaya, F-Vermillion, C-SatsukiYumiduka, H-Sion(Evil), H-PoweredCiel, C-RedArc, and C-ArimaMiyako

Hosting to test my ping with other players right now.

Actually, 623B is her old MBAC 623A and 623[B] is her old 623B. You actually can do the same combos as before if you have meter to burn. I'm assuming Catsuki, here. Hatsuki and Fatsuki are for douchebags. (Also, Hatsuki is pretty much a buffed MBAC Satsuki.) As for Catsuki, you can do an old school 5B2C5C623[B]5B623C2C5C421B for an untechable 4 way oki (except not as good because of mechanic changes to super jump). Her air throw was nerfed, so you have to end it like that now if you want to 4 way. The new combo (the 623[A]j.[C]dj.[C]) is actually easier than it was in AA PS2. It's something like 4 frames now. Just be sure to add a lot of filler before the 3C623[A], or they'll be able to tech even faster before you can j.[C]. It's really hard to land the j.[C] from a raw 3C, or even a 2C3C or 3[C]2C3C. If you do 5B2C3C623[A]j.[C]sdj.[C]5[C]2[C]623C, you'll end it so that they land a tiny bit away from the corner and you can ground dash (YOU CAN GROUND DASH NOW), neutral jump, then do a whichway sandoori mixup by holding 4 a tiny bit or a lot, depending on which side you want to land on. This does not work if you just land 623C in the corner. You have to do some comboing before that so that you push yourself away from the corner a bit. End it in a 3C if you don't have meter (but you will always have meter now, 'cause you don't need to use it for every combo). Also, ExBite is a legitimate move now. New Satsuki is better in every way. 22B is more useless, though. And airthrow and throw are useless now too. With the changes to the buffer, you can't do things sloppy anymore, though.

It's more or less the same as MBAC. As soon as you can. Even sooner than that. The hard part is that the 623C after 5B is slightly harder with the new buffer system. It's possible to OTG everyone now, though, with 5B. Don't have to switch to 5C for Ciel, or 2C5C for Miyako.

By the way, I grinded the old MBAC Sacchin combo for like 3 hours a day for a month before I finally got it. I've no talent in fighting games at all. If you work at it, you'll definitely get it eventually. The new 623[A] j.C... Well, that might take a little more. Took me pretty much 20 hours straight before I got it down.

why do you even play online when you wont abide the rules, fullscreen makes online matches crash.High resolution makes online matches crash.Net-code is shitty so until they release a patch fixing it or something either dont play or play with 640x480 windowed

For the 623[A]j.[C] combo, it's actually not as bad as you think. Even if it's invalid and they can tech out of it, they probably won't. Unless they tech on the first frame or something 'cause they know how Catsuki works, they'll still get hit. Or they're Ryougi and they tech it and then punish you with that tech gimmick special she has. I could run a stream of my Cacchin training mode grind if you want. I'm pretty terrible at this game, but I'll probably get it right at least 20% of the time.

you never get slowdowns?lags?network problems in MB?
I play from EU with 640x480 windowed and had generally good fps and lag even when playing with US EC/WC.If you wanna max graphics then play single player,if you wanna make multiplayer enjoyable for those who you play with then play windowed, hell even on japanese forums are said to play on windowed

You realize that fullscreen mode maintains your resolution? Of course you don't. Also, the poster you were replying to said they weren't having trouble with anyone else. Making some graphical tweaks does not guarantee this netcode will work.

Can you explain how windowed 640x480 is different from fullscreen 640x480?
It is not. Most of the graphics settings hardly (if at all) affect the netplay mode unless they actually cause your framerate to drop due to a shitty GPU.
The netcode basically only transfers your input buffer to the opponent and synchs the game if packets get lost or the ping spikes. There is absolutely no information being sent about the display mode.

I didnt say that lag will not disappear ,but it will be reduced.Let me say to you this way,i have shit laptop(dualcore 1.89ghz and intel x3100).For the last 5 years i have played all moderns games with graphical tweaks, you could even say that "Tweaks" is my middle name. That alone makes me qualified to lecture you. Also i did my own research and here are results
tried game with and without windowed,in hamaichi, regular direct connection,lan,single/dual core affinity,,...
Ive played it all
best play is when both have 640x480 windowed, and on the same continent. Also does de-synchronization mean anything to you?Apparently doesnt. It means that more lag occur when there are different setting on different computers. Most of us play on windowed.Do the math.

Had a hard time connecting, so the screen was black for me, most of the time.
Other streams worked, tho.

It's crazy how you can execute the whole thing as soon as j.[C] hits
How do you jump after j.[C]?
How do you cancel 214B?
And I've missed the part where you do blockstrings, but I guess they're 2A 2B 2C 5B 213A most of the time?

>> No.8336630

>>8336593

j.[C] is the only air attack that Sacchin can jump cancel from. If you just hold 2, then press 9 as soon as it hits, you'll super jump forward and be in place to land the second j.[C]. If you charge 214[A] fully, it'll charge it, then cancel it. If you charge 214[B], it becomes a single hit wallslam. If you charge 214{b} slightly, it'll do more damage. Usually, 214B is a two hitter, with the first hit overhead. Blockstrings are mostly random things into whiff 5A. Do a dash ExBite once in a while to keep them on their toes. Instant air dash j.C for overheads. If you're a bit too far away to reliably dash in and continue blockstrings, you can do 214[A]/214B mixups. If they try to block a 214[A], just dash in and continue your string. They nerfed 214A so that you can only jump cancel on block if you're in Half Moon. Crescent and Full can't jump cancel on block, only on hit.

>> No.8336641

>>8336630
Also, sorry for the poor execution. It's almost 8 AM where I am and I haven't slept yet. For tricks, though, if you manage to land a 623[A]j.[C] in Blood Heat, you can continue that combo as you would normally until there's 30-40% left, then 623C and use your AAD. Instant 7k, 'cause the last hit of the AAD isn't affected by proration. It always adds at least 2k-ish. Super troll combo.
