Why wouldn't I be a NEET in Gensokyo too?

There has to be. There's markets, stores, servants (like the maids in EoSD), shrines that need donations, and a school. Maybe not all Touhous need jobs to survive, but there's sure as hell some jobs there.

Imagine all of the interesting stories I would hear while working.

That is a hard choice. From running an old bookstore that sells ancient books where I would always be in one place and can take it easy to having a job that took me all around gensokyo like a messenger. I think I will end up doing many things when I get there.

Sadly since I am a mortal, still, I can not take up a possition that keeps part of the fabric of reality together that most Youkai. So what Job I take would depend on if I was the little girl or not when I arrived in Gensokyo.

If I am the little girl, Then I would to Marisa's house and be her maid. I would attempted to fix her wild lifestyle and tame her.

If I am not he little girl than I would head to Senkai and become a Tao Monk. There I would expand my power until I can revive as a Saint and thus, become the little girl.

If I was unable to find Senkai, I would apply for butler at SDM and browse the Liberary with my time off until I learn enough magic and found the right magic that would turn me in to the everlasting little girl. Then I would marry Remilia and we would happly ever after.

I would like to open Gensokyo's first cafe/used book store.
I would strike a deal with Yukari to allow me to bring chocolate and coffee from the outside, and pay her by letting her, Ran, and Chen eat for free.
I would get the entire population hooked on coffee and pastries and cakes containing chocolate which I would have a monopoly on...

Id like to open Gensokyos first Man Hunting service. I would gain free access to come and go from Gensokyo. I would bring in fresh outsiders to quench the thirst for man meat by some of Gensokyos most respectable citizens.

Once I year I would host a man hunt. I would loose my entire stock in to the Gensokyo woods so that Youkai can hunt them for sport.

I would work at the Hakurei Shrine, sweeping leaves all day. I wouldn't get payed, but who cares.

Be an alchemist and make stuff for people.
