How often does /jp/ brush their teeth?

>> No.8300488

Twice per day :-)

Haven't done it since I was 6 years old.

>> No.8300504

Once or twice a day.

Once at night if I'm just staying home all day. Once in the morning as well if I'm planning on engaging in society in any meaningful way.

So, usually once.

After every shower.
Before going out.

You can see how this can wildly vary.

2 or 3 times a day, and I still have gingivitis. Although I wonder if it's because of my bruxism.

Haven't brushed it in over 4 years, still not a single cavity. Drink milk, folks.

I heard your mouth naturally produces bacteria that can clean your teeth and kill other bad bacteria if you don't brush. Apparently it's working for you guys, but do you find that your teeth have become yellowish without the aid of whitening toothpastes?

How ofter does /jp/ brush their bird?

>> No.8300606

>>8300589
I've never heard of this bacteria, but I haven't brushed in several years and I admit to not purposely taking care of my teeth, and the worst I've had so far was a tiny bit of tooth breaking off in some hard pizza I ate, no big deal.

My teeth are definitely yellowed, though often it's more noticeable after eating certain foods, or just under certain kinds of light.

>> No.8300599

10 times a day. Not joking, I've got OCD.

>> No.8300607

>>8300606
Yeah, no big deal at all. Right.

>> No.8300620

Twice a day, but I drink a ton of energy drinks so they have a yellow tinge (but are otherwise fine). I love being able to get away with shit like this because I never go outside. I could lose half my teeth and it would be nothing but a slight inconvenience.

>> No.8300618

>>8300607

It's not. How do you think people survived before toothpaste was invented? As long as you don't eat tons of junk/raw food, you're not very likely to have serious tooth problems.

>> No.8300622

>>8300606
Your tooth breaking off on pizza could be the early signs of a serious problem.
My friend the other day spat out a piece of his tooth as well, but the pizza wasn't hard at all.
Turns out some nasty bacteria is rotting his teeth and at this point he's going to have to get 4-5 rotting teeth removed to fix the problem.
You might want to get a checkup.

> How do you think people survived before toothpaste was invented?
I always sort of imagined they lost their teeth quite early and that was just the natural cycle of things. Plus people didn't have carbonated drinks and candy and such until relatively recently.
Old timey folks also didn't have toilet paper or certain shaving implements. Those fair maidens you read about walked about with shitty anuses and wispy little moustaches.

i have horrible bruxism and have worn away most of the bottom of my teeth

im thinking about going to a dentist, but i started putting a cloth in my mouth at night and it has helped surprisingly...

>> No.8300630

>>8300622
Yeah, I thought about this, because it happened again some time later while eating some relatively soft food.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was happening; like I said, I don't really take care of my teeth. But as far as I could tell, all my other teeth seem quite healthy (cause I'm totally a tooth expert). Maybe I will get a checkup... but then I have to go outside, pay money, interact with people, etc.
I'd rather just die of some heart failure caused by mouth bacteria.

That feel when some health group would come to your primary school twice a year and give a presentation on the importance of cleaning your teeth and drinking plenty of water, and it wasn't until you were older that you realised it was Illuminati propaganda to intake fluoride to remain sterile and docile.

Honestly, it's probably been two months.

It's another one of those things where I always want to get into a routine with it (like eating healthily, exercising or other things people who care about themselves do) but never do.

>> No.8301151

Around 3-6 times a week, but it depends on a lot of factors. I brush my teeth every time I take a shower which can happen between every second or fourth day depending whether I'm at the dorm or at home. I also brush my teeth every time I eat canned fish (happens often) or something with a lot of sugar (happens very rarely).
When I was younger I was very diligent brushing my teeth, but my wisdom tooth were still a mess and I even had a surgery with one of them. Now I have at least 4 holes and only one of them is filled. I was so proud for my healthy tooth back then, but now I gave up, I can't fight against the shitty genes. It's also against the dentists' interest to have a healthy mouth, especially if it is a private one and the town's hospital lacks a dentist.

I drastically reduced my sugar intake though. Back then I drank my tea with INSANE amounts of sugar (thanks mom, go die in fire) but now I'm using honey.
Also, thanks again mom for not getting me a brace when I was younger despite even me wanting it. Now I just want to punch out your teeth, because every time I see that horrible smile of yours I'm reminded how my mouth is going to look like when I'm getting old.

Fuck my life, thanks /jp/ for getting me into the suicide mood again.
