I've pretty much just started work on a VN, but this is my first time making one so I have a feeling it'll end up poorly.

No reason for me to not come back to the game and remake it later when I have more experience though.

By the way, how many gameplay elements should I put in this VN? Would simply having the occasional multiple-choice selection which gives you points/flags on the appropriate path be enough, or do people insist on having more these days?

I made a simple rock arrange of Yuugi and Suika's theme. I tried making it a straightforward but fun song. I've only made the drum and lead parts. Couldn't be arsed to make the rhythm section for now.

Quality is rather shitty, since it was made entirely in Guitar Pro 5. My machine is nowhere near fancy, so I cannot into VSTs. ;_;

I agree, you should try to get some communication open. Most of the time they're just excited someone is enjoying and remixing their work and they'll give you the go ahead anyway, but it's just the right thing to do. Not even from a legal point of view, just as a decent person. "Hey, I really liked what you did and tried to do something with it. I might get some compensation for it, but it's not a serious marketing thing. Let me know if you're not okay with this."

I think one of the keys is to be more confident and not hesitate when applying color. I know that when I hesitate I mess up more easily. Always remind yourself that even if you screw up you can easily ctrl + z it back to the way it used to be.

So anyhow, Tokiko was posting in a thread last night, and some anon was getting all mad and saying things like "go back to /soc/". Eventually I decided to pretend to be Tokiko and I wrote a really bad Tokiko x anon sexfix (>>8283618 archive) in response.

Later that night I decided to draw a similar situation involving the /jp/ anon, and Tokiko. It's quite the monstrosity.

I spent about 4 hours drawing Tokiko, and then I got REALLY lazy with the anon (25 mins), and the background which I just googled and edited (shameful, I know).

It's a really stupid concept and not some amazing photoshop masterpiece, but I'm satisfied with it.
