I played only Persona 3 and Ar Tonelico 1/2.
What are some good, PC/PC emulable jRPGs?
I don't feel like playing Persona 4, something with a complete fantasy/sci-fi setting would be nice.
There has to be something like a canon of recommended games, right?

there is also a PS1 prequel called Koudelka. great story but the gameplay has not aged very well.

get a SNES emulator, a recommendation list like the one on the /v/ wikia, and go wild. I suggest you start with Lufia 2.

Just finished playing through SMT: Nocturne again... got 100% Compendium.

Not looking forward to anything specific outside the Majikoi TL these days, guess I'll go play some of the older FF/AT I have never touched and beat Disgaea 3.

The first one was acceptable, though C-L-U-N-K-Y. A-S. H-E-L-L.
The second had fun, dynamic gameplay, but half of the dialogue was slapstick shit. The only good things with that game were Anastasia and Blanca.

I'd recommend skipping that series.

Star ocean 1 remake on PSP was very fun.

It is more or less "Star trek meets planet of the cat people". A federation away team makes first contact with some villagers in a "sword and sorcery" type medieval world.

The primitive people are amazed at with science (the ship, the transporter bay, the phasers, etc), and the federation away team is amazed that actual magic exists on this world.

A strange petrification disease was spreading from town to town, and healing magic had no effect. The federation people discover it is a nanotech virus, and so the adventure begins to stop a common foe.

I'm not sure how well PSP emulation is these days but you can check out Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Godeater if you like dungeon crawlers.

Just started playing Tales of Symphonia again since I never did finish it all those years ago (starting from scratch).

Looking forward to Tales of Graces f.

I finished Atelier Rorona today (normal ending, just wanted to get through the game to get it out of my queue) and will probably focus on Resonance of Fate now (on the last few chapters and the difficulty just jumped up quite a bit...)

Im looking forward to Tales of the Abyss 3DS and Tales of Graces f.

I finished Rorona last week, got the True Ending. Nice game, but fuck replaying it to get all the endings. Maybe if all my recipies and gear carried over into NG+ but nope. I'll order Totori soon, it looks a lot better.
