Humans.
Red humans.
Blue humans.
Green humans.
Bald grey humans.
Blind humans.
Cyborgs (humans with implants).
The Darth Maul things (humans with spikes/horns).

Star Wars is all about a huge diversity of races. This shit isn't Star Wars. Galaxies was fun (initially) because you could play as Wookies, Mon Calamari, Ithorian, Rodian, etc.

TOR was looking extremely bland since the beginning, and I kept waiting for them to move past the proof of concept stage and show us the actual game - too bad they never did.
I'll play it for a while when it goes F2P, but it's not worth wasting money on as it is now.

I'd love a hard-scifi MMORPG where you travel around the real solar system and do stuff. And not by using warp drives to terraformed planets, but good-old-fashioned nuclear rockets and sterile, dead worlds.

Star Wars is a gay-ass scifi setting.

A full-blown MMORPG costs approximately $100.000.000 to develop. SW:TOR supposedly cost, $135.000.000, well surpassing both WoW and EVE. There are other factors, but budgets are the big bottleneck.

Pretty sure that's the way all MMO-subs work, unless I'm misunderstanding what's being said.

If you sub for 1 month, then cancel before the month is up, you've already payed for it, you don't get a refund. If that sub was going to recur (adding another 1 month after the second one) then canceling before the first month expires should let you play until the end of that months already bought playtime and then stop.

when i played during the betas it was single player story rpg with the option of doing stuff that require others to do (flashpoints, heroics, etc). i'm glad i rolled healer because my friends quit after 30 mins, haha. "its just wow in space" and they played wow a lot. i never did so it was new to me.
