I just bought Psychonauts on Steam for $2.49 and I bought Amnesia for $5 yesterday. I don't mind paying that much for games, honestly. It's just the $60 bullshit or 9,000 yen bullshit they pull in Japan that pisses me off and makes me pirate 99% of the stuff I play.

I was eventually going to look for and download Chantelise because I loved Recettear so much. Thanks for saving me the effort, I hope it's as fun.

Is Chantelise worth playing? Recettear was good, but the earlier one seems like less of the same without the capitalism. The dungeon crawling wasn't the game's strength.

Wondering the same thing here. Wouldn't mind dropping the money if it's decent.

>> No.8270046

since i didn't bothered to pirate it maybe it's time to buy it, i don't really see the point to buy a game if you already pirated it and finished the game.

>> No.8270055

It's funny the lengths that kids on /v/ will go to to beg for Steam games when you can pirate every single one of them.

I don't know how Steam even makes any money.

Had enough money to beat the game by week 3. Good thing I pirated it.

>> No.8270077

>>8270055
well they generally beg for multiplayer games like Killing floor or cheap indie game,
some people on /v/ are nice enough to gift stuff so that's why there's a large group of beggars.
But the worst are people trying to trade their useless coupon for games.
Now /v/ became a trade board.

>> No.8271653

Just bought Recettear. I never got around to playing it an $5 isn't that much for a game that looks this good. Is Chantelise worth getting at all? I know I can pirate it but if it's at least fun, $2.50 isn't much and it would be supporting more games like these on stream right?

What's so bad about Chantelise?

>> No.8271717

>>8271653
Chantelise was okay, but certainly not groundbreaking, especially as a game that came out chronologically before Recettear in Japan. It's dungeon crawling at the most basic of levels. That being said, I don't see it as a BAD game, just not something that would be worth getting if you already played Recettear.

>> No.8271731

>>8271717
Thanks. Considering what you said and the other info in this thread about Chantelise, I think I won't get it on steam and just pirate it if I ever feel like playing it.
