I just bought Psychonauts on Steam for $2.49 and I bought Amnesia for $5 yesterday. I don't mind paying that much for games, honestly. It's just the $60 bullshit or 9,000 yen bullshit they pull in Japan that pisses me off and makes me pirate 99% of the stuff I play.

Is Chantelise worth playing? Recettear was good, but the earlier one seems like less of the same without the capitalism. The dungeon crawling wasn't the game's strength.

Just bought Recettear. I never got around to playing it an $5 isn't that much for a game that looks this good. Is Chantelise worth getting at all? I know I can pirate it but if it's at least fun, $2.50 isn't much and it would be supporting more games like these on stream right?

Chantelise was okay, but certainly not groundbreaking, especially as a game that came out chronologically before Recettear in Japan. It's dungeon crawling at the most basic of levels. That being said, I don't see it as a BAD game, just not something that would be worth getting if you already played Recettear.
