Great people who achieve great things are the people who break away from the rest, think for themselves and excel. This is why there are no jobs, everyone is doing the same shit and nobody knows anything because out parents all told us the same things.
The point is to have kids to give them better opportunities which you didn't have, because you are a failure who sits in an office for 8 hours a day. But we aren't doing anything differently because stepping out of the line will make you different.
So the moral is to follow your own dream, not your parent's expectations to become them.

We want to have children because it seems to be the most meaningful way to share and imprint a meaningful existence. Just like sharing a picture with someone gives us satisfaction to be able to communicate visual experience with another, having a child with a loved one is an act of sharing and communicating our life experience given to us by our parents.

Look at the people in Africa who have 15 kids, disease, no food and a slim chance of survival. You can't just say we are the complete opposite of them. The problem with Africa is they have little to no contraceptives, and even if there are contraceptives, women are powerless to make their husbands use them. So everywhere in the world where women are poorly educated and have little to no economic independence birth rates are out of control.
Anyway, in those kinds of societies, kids are basically utilitarian, so a farmer might force his wife to make lots of sons because he actually needs them to help him on his farm, or because he needs the heirs who will support him in old age etc. Even a couple generations ago in "rich" countries this was the same. You need to pump out kids and make them into high earners because you actually need the cash later, because your country has no social security/welfare whatever reason. If these people could only eat kids for whatever reason they'd have kids just to eat them.

Let me tell you what our morals are : they are the values the ruling class endorsed and helped promote. And guess what they want the populace to do ? That's right, you work your asses off for others while the elite sail in their yachts and give the middle finger to your 'morals'. There is even a whole industry created to promise the poor bastards would be rewarded for working hard their whole life, it's called religion.
And do you know exactly WHY we tend to applaud selflessness ? It stems from our own selfishness. We don't want to be the martyr, but wish for someone else to do it. Thus we try to applaud selflessness, in the hope that someone will actually buy that shit. Of course we'd love for such a person to appear, so it's obvious that we applaud it.

But in short, morals are values created, accepted and passed down by human society, not by a single individual, so it's obvious they ensure the survival of the GROUP as a whole. And OP is stupid. Would you live a life being dictated by someone else? A life without meaning is like a blank canvas. We also call it freedom.
