I think the most difficult aspect of katakana was how little of them I saw compared with hiragana while I was learning them. But don't worry, keep practicing and you'll get them down. It just takes a little time and patience.

Really though, katakana is nothing compared to Kanji, although similarities in kanji can actually be helpful (radicals etc)

I know a lot of kanji and read a lot but I never bothered to really learn katakana. Hate that shit. I can't remember like 70% of them and I just keep guessing and trying to write the word until I get it right.

シツソン　are easy most of time for me.
Though I sometimes confuse サセ, because of hiragana せ, and シュ、ショ、シェ.
Also, rarely, ナノ, チモ and オネホ.

Same. Can read almost anything but still have problems writing Katakana by hand. Think it's because they mess with the Kanji radicals. I associate ネイホ with 示人木. So when I try to remember the Katakana for NE, I or HO(for example) the kanji or the Hiragana blocks the association with Katakana off. In other cases they are just so fucking arbitrary when compared to the other two systems.

I used these to help remember katakana, you could easily just use an SRS like Anki alongside, or put the katakana in your kanji deck or something to help, I don't know.

The particle は is always pronounced WA but written with the Hiragana for HA.

Second, you use わ in words and は as the stand-alone particle.
Good example to use is "Watashi wa shindoi desu" (I am tired)

わたしはしんどいです is written properly.
わたしわしんどいです is not.

は is the "wa" particle. Normally you'd pronounce it "ha" but as a particle it is "wa"

わ is a letter noise. You do pronounce it "wa" but you only use it in words (like Watashi). This is kind of similar to how you often get SU at the end of a word but you just say the S, like Desu (you can say the U if you're a retard)

わ is a sentence-final emotive particle for women that stands on its own. You find it on its own all over the place.

Also, as Japanese doesn't use an alphabet, there aren't any letters in Japanese.

wo is pronounced wo but sounds like halfway between o and wo most o the time. In songs you sometimes hear them say wo. The u at the end of desu is whispered but it's there. Romaji is used in Japanese which counts as letters and somebody here doesn't like namasensei's lessons but probably learned the word shindoi from his 100 adjectives.
