What do your parents think about your life as an otaku or possibly a NEET?

My dad hates everything otaku-related and he thinks that NEETs are just lazy bums.

Both are sad that they wasted so much time raising me and that I'm not paying off for the hard work they did. I'm not a NEET though. A NEET couldn't possibly survive without support from his parents. As for the otaku bit, they don't see it any different than a hobby, though they haven't seen much.

Well, I don't think they care too much about me being an otaku, considering:
- My mom has a large anime collection and likes watching me play Touhou
- My dad likes some anime (he was re-watching Initial D when I went back for Thanksgiving)
- My sister has a room full of wall scrolls and posters as well as a few figs
