How fast can /jp/ type?
Do you use any funky keyboard layouts or map anything strangely? (such as braces and vertical bar)
What kind of keyboard do you use? Maybe a laptop?

I've had my eye on
http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=leopold,tenkeyless&pid=fc200rcabn
but I only own a laptop.

Not gonna lie, only want that specific model because it has otaku in the name, and makes me feel that much closer to /jp/.

It's a mechanical keyboard marketed at the enthusiast market. I'm surprised it's not around $200 actually.
Never touched a mechanical myself, but I've heart fantastic things about them though. Anything is better than flat scissor switches for long typing sessions though, fuck that.

those are blue switches meaning they have a built in click sound.
They really get loud at night if people near you are sleeping.
Check for brown switches who have a similar tactile feel but without the click sound.
Im using limited edition white filco linear R right now

If you're going mechanical and aren't a huge sperg about cherry mx blue, I'd suggest looking at this:

Oh, didn't know that. I've heard of many color switches, but I've only touched blues at best buy once. A video on youtube is all I've watched on keys, and I just went by sound. I'll look that up before setting on a final purchase. I'd have to get a desktop first though.

You didn't answer the questions though!

Here's a good guide on all the different types of switches:
