I've been having a blast with Gundeadligne's coop despite 50% chance of desyncs, and Hitogata Happa is a very, very fun game which is also ludicrously hard on the hard modes. both have great music but not as good music as touhou.

I've been wanting to get Jamestown too but I'm having too much fun with Hitogata Happa and Touhou 12.

Yeah of course. Not trolling but Touhou is not so great as far as STGs go. Dare I say, it is babbys first STG, of people in their early 20s these days anyway.

I got to stage 6 in Mars Matrix once.

That was pretty cool, I was impressed with myself.

Yes, I enjoy playing all shmups. Too bad I'm terrible at them, I can just barely 1cc DonPachi after about 5,000 tries. I never continue, whenever I game over, I just reset the game.

I do this multiple times when I play touhou as well. Bombing or dying before stage 4? Well, that's a restart! Arcade games, I'm not as inclined to do this, but it's still rather depressing having to bomb before stage 3 on any shmup, really.

It's not the most difficult or the most technically advanced shooter, but it's success isn't undeserved. The series does have really really good music and interesting characters. Also, the focus on aesthetics of attack patterns is unique.

Gundemonium Collection is awesome. Personally I enjoy Gundemonium Recollection the most of the pack, but they are all good.

So, say I'm just doing a run of the mill practice run, should I be continuing? Usually, what I do is limit myself to three continues and see how far I can get. Some say to always just play on one credit no matter what, others say to continue if it's only for practice. But I want to see what /jp/ thinks.
