In 2014, the US and EU governments split up the net into separate networks, called 'sectors'. Despite complaints from the population, they continue developing means to prevent unauthorized traffic and to filter their own sectors. The mods are slightly nazi, there is a group of four roleplaying avatar tripfriends, and the traffic is about half of /t-c/, but it's quite a cozy place. There's loli too. If you don't like a thread, just hide it. The official extensions as well as 4chan X, 4chan + and a dozen others all support it. /jp/ has about 160 threads on it at any given time, so you'll find one or two good ones if you just casually scroll through. Report the rule breakers / shit posters. And make threads for topics you're interested in if none exist.

If you're really bothered about the state of things, email moot saying "There's constantly five or six shitty threads on the front page of /jp/ all the time" or "shitposters are ruining the board." If enough people do it, he'll probably kick them out.
