ITT: NEET PROTIPs!

• Never shave or cut your hair. You will save hundreds on equipment and trips to the barbershop.
• When ordering food, leave the money and an instruction to leave the pizza outside your door. This way you can avoid social interaction with the delivery guy.
• Wear the same shirt for as long as possible. If it gets dirty, wear it for another week or two; your sweat often seeps through the fabric and cleans it.
• Do not use beer bottles as piss bottles. It can get messy.

Share your own, /jp/!

I take walks at night sometimes, when everyone else is asleep. That's something I assume most shut-ins do.

So whenever I go to the convenience store at 4am or go sit in a park and look at the stars, I try to scope for other loners. You can tell them apart from the occasional drunk teenagers and other rabble by their melancholic posture and "dreamy" aura. Maybe I've seen you.

>When ordering food
Don't order food at all. It's a huge waste of money. Not sure if price and availability are the same in the US, but what I do is buy rice (the kind you can prepare in 8 minutes, not sure what it's called in English), canned vegetables and frozen hamburgers (the meat, not the sandwich; cheapest kind of meat here), the rice is like 1 euro per kilo, canned vegetables about the same price, and 16 hamburgers for 1.20 euros. You save a lot of money by just eating cheap food.

Whenever someone starts talking about being a hikki, everything gets hijacked into a discussion of what being a hikki entails, one side claiming you can't be a hikki unless you're Japanese and you haven't left your house under any circumstance for at least 6 months, while the other side is basically the hikki equivalent of girls who post "i'm such a nerd" on Facebook.

To avoid that whole mess, we just use NEET instead. Most people understand what we mean by it, which is more important than staying true to the literal definition.

About $1, at most $1.5 for a meal, and you can add variety by buying different kinds of carbs or meat. If you're short on protein, you can mix whey and skimmed milk powder for 30g of cheap as fuck proteins.

Also, I buy a $4 bag of chicken quarters (150 g protein) every weekend as a treat.

My tip is to buy a dreamcast. The games are easy to download and burn to a disk, plus you don't even have to mod the dreamcast for the games to work, just pop em in and play. This will provide you with about 2 years worth of entertainment before you run out of good games to play (DC has a ridiculously limited library, unless you love fighting games).

Second tip is to try to fit some kind of physical activity into your day, its really worth it.

3rd tip, smoke weed if you can manage to get your hands on some.

If you want to play even older games, then you can buy a gamepad and USB adapter, or even a USB gamepad. I have an SNES so I just got an adapter. The games themselves don't take up much space either so you can download the whole library. I've discovered plenty of fun Genesis, SNES, NES and GB games this way.

Another tip I have is to atleast try to be on good terms with the 24/7 gas station clerk you go to. That way you don't have to worry that the clerk is thinking that you're going to rob the place.

As someone in this predicament, yeah, its true. You work, you buy stuff, then you dont have the time to enjoy it.

Im buying a 3DS on Black Friday but I doubt Ill have a lot of time to play it.

My tip is to hit the library or download a lot of ebooks. If you have the cash, invest in an eReader (I have a Sony black and white model, no need for fancy touchscreens when reading a fucking book.) Reading is a great way to pass the time. Put on an instrumental game soundtrack to listen to in the background and youre set.
