My mom has a coworker that is going to Japan to teach English, and she said that if I wanted to go with to let her know. I don't know her living arrangements but I'm assuming they're being paid for so I would basically be piggybacking. I've never even met this woman before, but that seems like an awfully generous invitation to make, doesn't it? I'm probably overthinking this. She was probably joking. My mom keeps telling me though so I'm not sure. I'm not doing anything with my life right now and it's fun to toy around with the idea.

I literally have only one hundred US dollars to my name and that's going to be gone soon due to a preorder I placed a while back. expect hell if you join a language school as a teacher. shit hours, shit pay, shit everything. expect to be overworked. if you're going in legit with a work visa you need a BA. if you're not, you just need to be in the country (tourist visa) but if you overstay it you're going to be in trouble if anyone finds out. another risk to working without a work visa is that some of the more unscrupulous types can take advantage of you and there isn't much you can do legally about it
