I would easily rank Raiden IV above DX for several reasons, including:

>longest Raiden (360 version has two extra stages)
>monstrous bosses
>badass soundtrack, a real treat after that awful Raiden 3 OST (at least it was consistently awful with the rest of the game)

Um... the graphics in Raiden IV really weren't that bad. Sure, the background textures aren't incredibly detailed, but it's a Raiden game, they usually scroll by pretty quickly. Look at stage 2. Fucking gorgeous in motion, dat skyscraper night line scrolling past. Also, face it, the boss designs and their mechanics were well-presented and well-thought-out. (see the PDF art book download) Regardless, keep playing games for the graphics, I'll be playing mine for gameplay, which Raiden IV vastly improves upon delivers in spades. I'm not saying DX is bad, but c'mon. It's like comparing Raiden Fighters Jet to Raiden 1, in terms of gameplay advancements.
