I just beat the PSP version the other night.

The very last scene of the game after the credits always confused me, but 13 years later I finally saw the scene optional scene where Agrias visits the princess and gives her a knife to defend herself.

Now it sorta makes sense a little more. Also I used a girl White Mage to the very end. Definitely the cutest mages.

I've been playing tactics since it came out in 97. When I saw there was a psp rerelease for it, I bought a psp just to play that one game. So far I've capped out 3 different files at 99 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds since purchasing it.

For those who didn't get what just happened, Olan looked that Mediator in the eye, and read some words in a book to him. Yeah that scene surprised me like HELL. Always wondered by Princess Ovelia went yandere at the end.

Guess it's because Delita used Ramza, Agrias, Orlandeau, and the rest of the party the very end. He knew they were most likely screwed and going to die, but Delita couldn't care less as long as he became king.

Then Ovelia finally loses it when they all die, and stabs Delita with Agrias' knife. Completely hated this ending 13 years ago, but I love it now.

He's a good person in the eyes of history, and rightfully so. For Delita, the ends justified the means, and that much can be agreed upon by a good number of people. You're supposed to hate him in a romantic sense though, not a logical sense. It's a pretty common theme in games to make the one that states their belief to be the ends justify the means as a bad guy, because in games, especially fantasy games with the serious kind of undertone that tactics had, we all want to say we would hold strong to the best of intentions, and we idolize and worship those that follow that model. Hence everyone loves Ramza, because he's self-sacrificing, and everyone hates Delita because he dirtied his hands with the blood of his best friend.

I don't think that was the only reason. She didn't want to be used any longer, and definitely didn't like how Delita went about to reach his ends, regardless of how good they were. I think at the end of the game, Delita did have feelings for her as he wanted to cheer her up before he gets stabbed, and even wonders how things will turn out in the future, if his deceptions will come back to haunt him or not.

I was actually kind of thinking about replaying FFT after all of these years. Thinking about the PSP port but I have heard their exists patches and other hacks for the PS1 version.

Speak of FFT, I have been hearing for at least a decade about glitches with the original PS1 version. Mostly involving irregular stat boosting and some other stuff. Can anyone confirm this?

If I'm understanding you right, it's not a glitch. Using the degenerator trap to bring you down a level as a certain class drops your stats by a certain amount, and then increasing your level as another class ups your stats by a different amount, so if you pick the class with the worst stat gains to delevel yourself and then level up with the class with the best stat gains you could essentially max everything. Note that this takes forever.
