8049016 No.8049016 [Reply] [Original]

Once you start getting into the more extreme parts of the Touhou fandom, is there any way of going back to having a more tame point of view about everything? I'm starting to get a burn-out from it all, but now that I've gone this far I don't think I can go back. I think I should have heeded those warnings from those heart-thobbing adventures about it warping how you experience all things Gensokyo after all

>> No.8049049

You can.
You need to be strong, anonymous. Imagine the extreme parts as nightmares the Touhous wake up in a cold sweat from, if you have too.

How extreme have you gotten into it? There might still be hope.

You haven't done any touhou roleplaying or LARPing have you?

It's not an addiction, just a way of perceiving things.
>>8049049
I wish I could, but they're realities now, I think I took my touhous to a real nasty place, and now they're all dirty.
>>8049082
Not that kind of extreme.

I'm sure that there are people here that are going to say that I'm overreacting and all that, maybe I am since I've desensitized myself to most things by now, but it probably wasn't the best idea to marathon a certain series about Koishi and then go through a certain picture archive all in a row. Who knows, maybe it will wear off like everything else does. Oh, and don't go to those links unless you really don't give a fuck about how you see Gensokyo like I did.

You see, Touhou fandom is like entropy, you can only increase it. The only way you can decrease entropy is by increasing it somewhere else. Thus you should be able to decrease your touhou fandom by increasing others touhou fandom.

HAHAHAHA, you call that extreme? I've seen things you wouldn't believe! Also, learn to forget and learn to look away before it's too late. Learning to look away and defocusing your eyes before viewing anything extreme is a good habit on the internet.

Also moar surreal touhou(SFW type)

I guess that it didn't help that I went on a 10 episode adventure all at once as well right after I cruised though 400 pages of fun time.

Yeah, probably, I'll just end up absorbing this anyway.
>>8049132
No, this is just part of it, just an example for the less initiated. You might as well show me the things that you think are worse since I might as well not stop here since I past the point of no return a long time ago.

Folks this is why you need to believe in the canon interpretations of Touhou. Anything is else blasphemy, that will lead you on the path to oblivion.

I think I'm also at the point where even Grimsokyo is kind of bland in comparison. What happened to my cute girls? Have I become some kind of monster or is this just another acceptance of reality?

If you just recently did all this, having a good night's rest and participating in activities besides touhou should ease your mind.

Umineko music? The Siesta's theme on top of that? Right when Reisen II appears? And then the bomb? That's awesome, why would you want to get out of things like that? Just keep them in separate realities.
