Why the Touhou OST is so versatile even for arranges like death metal?

What I want to know how come 2hu soundtracks in flac format are larger than the games themselves. For example, PoFV lossless flac is ~630MB, while the game is ~600MB (thbgm.dat file being ~430MB). How did whoever ripped the music get extra data is beyond me.

correction, the game is actually ~518MB

Most likely because of looping. thbgm.dat only stores the looped portion once.

What the heck is the point of lossless Touhou soundtracks? Don't they start as MIDIs? That's barely even a music type to being with.

>Why is the Touhou OST so versatile

Because there's a lot of variety in the music already. Plus most of the songs have simple, memorable melodies...So you can take those and apply it to anything.
