Okay, yes, I agree that translators might not get the correct word or ideas, and might put the wrong ones in, but this does not inherently damage the quality of the writing, and can even enhance it if the translator is good at stirring a dry narrative, or if the recipient language is more fluid.

Your complaint is ultimately that the story may be incorrectly handled, it is not that the quality must therefore be damaged.
