Can we post Victory Gundam instead of Macross 7?
V Gundam is a lot better. It's pretty much a masterpiece. It's like you took the shitty grimdark from Zeta, made it good, then put it in V. Then you took the shitty siliness from ZZ, made it good, and put it in V.

It's pretty much the best Gundam with the best coreography.

Man Victory is really something else. It's all the grimdark of Zeta and all the silliness of ZZ somehow molded together into a coherent masterpiece.

The designs are some of the most creative Gundam has ever seen and the choreography is definitely the best Gundam has ever seen.

The character development is fantastic. Everyone fits their role very well. The look into how battling a giant robot can really fuck with a kid's head was done great.
EVAfags like to claim that EVA was the first anime to analyze how piloting a mecha can affect the kid. Wasn't done anywhere near as well as V.

You know you have yourself a good Gundam when most of the criticism about it deals with the creator's feelings towards it. Oh and not having an iconic villain isn't a bad thing.

Veteran anime reviewers agree, Victory is the pinnacle of Gundam:

I will partially agree with OP, Victory Gundam was the best 2-cour Gundam series I've watched, but some of the shorter series were better.

But why is this thread in /jp/ anyway?
