FFX is a fairly well made turn based RPG.

FFVIII is not.

The PSV has me dissapoint because of how Sony is just blatantly marketing it as a portable PS3. At the rate they're going the Vita is going to be what the 360 was to the PC. Upsets me greatly.

The plot was alright in my opinion. Very nicely paced, at least. Spira was a diverse and interesting world.

The characters suffer from lack of likability, however. Especially Tidus, though he's actually pretty well written when you inspect him. Yes, he has reason to be a whiny kid, and it's honestly expected. It does not mean whininess is something to appreciate, and makes it grating that he's the protagonist that the player is meant to see through. He gets better, but first impressions are everything, so you still hate him.

I could go on but there's no real reason to.

I admit, I was very upset at Nintendo for announcing the analog cradle so soon after the 3DS launch. But then again, they DID shave off a third of the handheld's price, which I found pretty honorable on their part.
