I'm 7957117.

Yeah, I figured it out. Once I calmed the hell down I realized I had entered the pipes in the same order about five time in a row and felt retarded.

In other news, Reimu and Marisa apparently explain hard topics to each other in interpretive dance. I hope this sprite was made only for this one scene.

Any strategy for Inner Eientei? I'm relying on Sanae's res buff to make it through, and using Satori to make it through, since there's a lot of enemies weak to dark. Working fine, but pretty mana inefficient and slow rolling. Wondering if crafting Satori's +poison damage eye and getting her a poisoning skill would work well for this stage, but I don't wanna waste the materials to find out.

Looking for some suggestions regarding parties in the Lake Temple.

For party 1, I think I heard that using only Mokou and Marisa would be fine. But, I`m not sure about the others.

So, is there a monster #83? I have #82 Yukkuri, then #84 Gold Scarab, so I figured I missed something. However, when I checked the Japanese wiki Gold Scarab was #83. All the rest of my entries seem to be one higher than normal after that too.

Now that I've looked at it a bit more there's another time this happens in my records, after Yukkuri sisters. Both of these monsters also happen to be ones that Aya's Report did a weird no message thing I thought was a failed attempt. I wonder if it made an extra entry that I can't view?

Nowhere close. I was just hunting for their drop, a +50% EXP gain item, and got lucky. It's a 1% drop so I'm pretty lucky I got it after only killing 27 of them.

Not really, that brought my characters from lv 79 to 84 or something. You gain a lot from random battles too at this point so my highest level characters were level 90+.

Also, said item can then be upgraded to an +100% exp item, after which you can try to obtain another of the +50% item drop if you want, though you don't have to since it's already in the item index.

So, I`m at the Lake Temple trio. And I *WILL* learn Hyper Fang Crusher.

But the question is, how can I set up my groups to avoid the other luck-based shit I`m facing right now?

For Akame I`m just using Mokou and Marisa. I might get some poison resist stuff for them. No problems here.

The real bitch I`m having trouble with is Chihiro. I`m using Alice, Nitori, Byakuren and Sakuya. Even with death resist, blind resist, and straight up resist gear, I find that this boss fight is way too retarded. She also has a high amount of evasion. Right now I`m just using Alice to absorb her water spell and cover who I want to keep alive at the moment until I get Sakuya buffed and whatnot.

Kagami`s just... whatever, I guess Sanae can handle her buffing everyone here with Aya providing evasion support whenever I need it.

I just don`t want to end up learning HFC and then die to one of the other bosses because of some stupid shit.

I thought Akame was just a damage race. Her 1000 needles or whatever generally almost KOs you or KOs you in one shot. I normally use Sakuya with Claymore, one of her early weapons, and race her with damage. Byakuren and Mokou are there to buff and stuff I guess.
Chihiro, just use spells. Make sure to have everyone use water resist gear or shield, then you are set. Patchy and Marisa should be able to change the field to full fire and lightning and own her.
Kagami is an endurance fight, nothing impressive. I gave up on Hyper Fang Crush after 6+ hours of trying. Just not lucky enough I guess.

Woo just beat Satori on my 4th try. My team was:
Alice (full tank)
Sakuya (Dagger DPS)
Aya (DPS: West Peak Sec Silver Spear which gives her 16% chance to multi-strike/Utility )
Sanae (buff bitch)
and Marisa was the nuker with her ridicuolus MATK (commander was Patch).

Here's how I beat her: Used Patchiolli's commander spell which gives 33%+ to magic for a turn. Then I had alice increase the effect of all shield. Had Aya do her Illusionary Dominance, Sanae buffed our MATK, Sakuya attacked and Marisa used Final Spark for 555dmg (it did 750+ the first try dunno why it did less later).

I kept this up until she started changing her modes and then I started blocking those elements with Alice accordingly (and also provoked her every chance I got). I also laid down a Colosso world so her mode changes wouldn't heal her PLUS the innevitable Elixir which she had up her sleeve. when she was down to 10% my colosso world ran out and I only noticed when she changed modes and healed. I panicked and used private square to set down colosso world again and to make sure she wouldn't heal herself in the middle of my turn and to also do some damage on her before I finished her off with Marisa. Awesome fight. I love this game.

Game is crashing too much during cutscenes though. Had to skip the cutscene after beating her cause i was afraid it would crash again.

Judging by how, apparently, most gear is dropped at a 5% rate, I think I'm going to grind for a few days. Eientei was somewhat tough for my magic team (although hilariously easy with my physical team) and Akyu doesn't seem to want to give me more recipes, so maybe it would help a bit.
Crafting what I can so far doesn't seem like a good idea, because it looks like the next tier of armors is essentially a direct upgrade over what I can make. Some of the weapons seem nice, so I'm most likely going to make at least Sakuya's third sword, since it feels like her damage is getting far behind everyone's.

Also, Satori hasn't really been too useful so far, even though I have all skills from the first five stages. Her damage doesn't seem to be getting anywhere, eyeballs apparently suck (if I'm not using physical skills at least), her growth tree is horrible if you're not feeling like spamming statuses... maybe I'm using her wrong.

Crafting everything you can isn't too good of an idea, as the materials are RARE and most of them don't really add much. I suggest using the Wiki to read info on what bonus the craftable things you can make give, and even then only making them if those bonuses are amazing or if they'd really help you. Now, game, that's just unfair.

Finally got done with Eirin and Kaguya - my own idea of overpowering them and abusing Alice's column blocking didn't work because Alice decided to be useless today, and Kaguya's defense buff kind of completely ruined my chances of dealing much damage per turn while Sakuya Colosseos it up. So I decided to try an even stronger power creep, with land/Sanae's attack buffs/Byakuren's attack buffs/elemental weapon buffs and couldn't resist dat Makai Temptation, so that run ended up being hilariously easy. It almost ended with Kaguya gunshotting herself as well.

And lastly, what's up with this endgame feel ever since that fight? The battle music changed. IT CHANGED. WHAT THE HELL.

Back to the silver chest thing though. There's one located in the underworld part and one in the heaven part. Quite a dangerous formation to use if you fight those guys, because if they target your other guys not in the middle, they take extra damage. Change to one that doesn't hurt your defense as much. Like Luna Dial, Sunshine Lunch, Poison Shield, etc.
Sakuya, Youmu and Mokou all have fairly solid defense, so if you change your formation, you should be able to handle the surprise attack.
The one time I got wiped against them was when I did not realize that you cannot run from them. I was trying to meet some specific enemies and well, I failed to run twice, and yeah, by the time I realized that the net thing is stopping me from running away, it was too late.

>> No.7968586

Not entirely sure, but from the info I gathered, it works something like this:
EVA = chance of the shield to activate.
Stuff listed on the shield like SLA/STA/STK means the shield can block those things. The chance of activation would be whatever EVA is.
PDF = when the shield activates that is how much extra PDF you gain to defend against that attack.
This applies to all other statistics, like MDF, RES, etc.
Now, there are funny icons, like Circle, Triangle, Star, etc. From the wiki, those icons will either increase or decrease the chance of the shield triggering. That seems to coincide with what I see in the game.
Circle is better chance than whatever the EVA lists.
Solid Circle, even better chance than Circle.
Double Circle, even better than Solid Circle.
Triangle is worse chance than listed.
Solid Triangle is even worse than Triangle.

Fire + Mage slayer anything alone will get that much. Otherwise you can stack def down + p.def down, atk up from Byakuren (lvl 2), amp scroll / sakuya world with enfire + max fire land and the field buff.
Or you can just do a rage 8 with enfire and just pray for 4-5 to hit her for 3-4k a pop. You could probably buff Nitori enough to one shot her with concentrated fire even.

Actually, everyone, regardless of whether they're in your party or not, receives POW. <spoiler>She does Store Power -> single target Physical Attack -> Magic Focus -> single target Magical Attack -> repeat. Use a baiting formation, Have Alice Hourai Doll on turn 1, put up the 90% physical damage reduction move on turn 2, do whatever turn 3, put up the 90% magic damage reduction move on turn 4, repeat. All your other characters can have fun beating on the hapless bucket, and maybe tossing Alice the occasional heal. Put Mokou as commander if you can in case Hourai Doll/formation fails you on a freak chance.</spoiler>

Most bosses have tricks like that that make them beatable at low levels. You can still brute force through most of them if you want, but it'll stop working at mid-endgame.
