Being an idol otaku seems like a sad existence. No matter how big of a fan you are, no matter many times you buy front row tickets, you'll never get closer to her, you'll just be one of the many creepy fans in those weird robes worshiping your human goddess, who probably has a secret boyfriend, even though you're not willing to admit that to yourself. At least with 2D girls, you know that just like you can never have her, no one else can have her either.

The Tori-tetsu have caused problems in the past and inconvenienced or anoyed many passangers in the past. They will go as far as setting up step ladders on busy railway platforms in order to better photograph their beloved trains.

They also scream and tard rage when people get between them and their trains (Tori-tetsu photos are best with no people in them, apparently).

They also occasionally get hit by trains because they seem to lack situational awareness. Here is a good near miss video:

Also: Not all train otaku are japanese. Obsession with trains is also big in Europe.

If any of you autists are around, please explain the appeal of it all to me, because I'm not seeing it. If you're interested in music, you should be following opera or one of the various other traditional mediums that aren't autotuned to hell and back; if you're interested in pledging your impossible love to a beautiful woman Don Quixote style, you would be better off with 2D; if you absolutely have to have both together, then that's why Miku and Idolm@ster exist. That's how I see it anyway.

So please, explain to me why I'm wrong. Tell me why you insist on worshiping plastic Koreans with fake personalities that can't sing and who likely despise the very people responsible for their livelihood.

That girl was not taking pictures of trains. That lens is either Canon's 50mm f/1.8 or 50mm f/2.5 Macro. With that kind of camera body I think her field of view would be too tight to take pictures of trains from where she is. Given that she's close to the ground with (what could be a macro lens) I'm guessing she was taking a picture of something on the ground.

Just sayin'.
