That does sound like a nightmare except for the hair thing. Re-rooting hair, adding wefts to a wig, that's actually quite easy just actually takes a while. Tokyo dolls aren't meant to be really constantly posed, you're just suppose to keep them in a single position and just let them be for a long time. That's the thing that sucks about them. You're paying almost a grand or more just for an outwardly jointless doll that can't do much.

Dollfie Dreams can stain from clothes but it's possible to treat the stain too. Worst comes to worst you can just buy another body. You just need to protect the face really, and that is easy as long as you avoid touching it, and obviously not let it get scratched or anything.

Doll bodies
Azone and Volks bodies are really pretty but have very little in the way of articulation and can only do basic poses, if you want to have really good articulation replace the body with an obitsu body of the appropriate size, the downsides to this are that obitsu bodies have very visible joints (but some people like that) and some clothes will not fit obitsu bodies. Some of the older azone dolls come with obitsu bodies.

Don't leave you doll in direct sunlight/ in a dusty place
try to avoid touching the face of your doll as its the most stain able and delicate part of the doll
be careful with very strong colors like black as they may stain your doll left on too long

A way to prevent staining would be to soak the clothes in hot water and you can just air dry them. Washing clothes in hot water helps to pull some of the dye out of the fabric without ruining anything with bleach. You should only do this with things that only contain dark colors though or the color might run a little.

It should especially suck for the sellers and rightfully so: Scalpers ruin this hobby by stealing stock from the market before genuine buyers can get a chance to purchase. Other industries call them speculators.

It doesn't help that buyers give in because the grey market has such a ridiculous advantage, especially when buying overseas their options are extremely limited.

I'm glad Volks has opened up the sales options for the new dolls. Hopefully this will keep the grey market down this time around.

DDII was the standard for a long time, until DDS came out, and DDIII following that.

It's true that DDIII and DDS can pose a bit better than DDII, but as people have reported the bodies are more fragile. There has been reports of cracked joints with them. DDII is more sturdy. I personally wouldn't worry about it as long as you're careful. I have a DDS and DDS Renewal, and a DDDy. Also don't forget it's not hard to replace the body.

Could some Dollfie owner say me, how the clothes influence the body surface of a doll?
Do the clothes actually stain the surface of a doll (even if I'm using only an original VOLKS wear)?

Keep it out of dust, keep it out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time, etc. Basic stuff, really.

Dark clothes have the possibility of staining the doll's skin. The color leaches into the vinyl. It looks something like a bruise. There are plenty of Volks outfits that stain. If it isn't completely lined with white, assume it will stain. Dark wigs also have the possibility of staining. Staining can happen in as little as 10 minutes.

To avoid the staining problem, get a body suit and head cap. The head cap is a white fabric lining which fits between the doll's head and the wig. A body suit is similar to pantyhose, except that it covers the doll from her toes up to her armpits. It doesn't cover her shoulders or arms.

I assume with your picture you're thinking about buying Saber Alter. She's a beautiful girl. Do yourself a favor and buy a wig cap and body suit. Check her default outfit and make sure it is lined with white fabric before you leave it on her for a long time. I worry about the sleeves, choker, and straps.

All of that said, I have two Dollfie Dreams. Neither have any stains. They both wear body stockings when wearing dark clothes. The head cap never comes off. Take care of your girl, and she'll be fine. Vinegar water can help to wash extra dye out of clothing. If worst comes to worst, you can always buy a new body. As long as the head isn't stained, you're fine.

I bought another base body for my Airi because of the staining from her maid outfit onto her original body, but I haven't used it yet (I'll wait until if/when I actually take her any place outside of the house). I got some Finishing Powder Spray, too, for whenever that day comes.

Staining can happen in as little as 1 minute.

Also, caution that a body stocking doesn't mean 100% protection. There is still a chance it can seep through. Long story short, it's probably best not to keep the doll in dark clothing for long periods. Personally I think body stockings are weird looking, that's why I don't want to use one.

Also, staining the head isn't the end of the world, but you definately don't want stains going over the face. Stains can be removed with 5-10% benzyl peroxide (acne cream, such as Oxy10), but it can take a while. That being said, minor stains such as areas under the wig where you won't ever see aren't a cause for concern. Bodies can be replaced, as already said.
