7921345 No.7921345 [Reply] [Original]

So I have a guilty pleasure that I think I could turn into something you all would enjoy; I'm a decent enough writer to do scripting for doujinshi, and have recently been struck with the inspiration to do such. (Which is pretty strange, considering I generally hate the production of fan fiction. I haven't bothered to check out any literature based on anything Touhou though.)

So I was wondering what /jp/'s thoughts on what I'm boasting to be good touhou fiction production is? I can go into detail about two different plot ideas that I've got brewing in my head if you're interested. If not, well, I know how it goes when /jp/ isn't interested...

Pic related; the star of the show ;D

/jp/ has this habit of hating everything. Though I'm not one to enjoy fanfiction myself, have you spoken to some of the artist around 4chan to see if anyone would be interested in making a comic?

Those are always fun.

I call it "immune system".

OP, if you think it will be something extraordinary, go for it. But mind you, so far the only GOOD /jp/-brew Touhou fanfiction I've seen is Arc's Rude Titties.

I literally just got the plot ideas today, after 29 hours without sleep and three energy drinks. So no, I haven't had a chance to collaborate with any artists. Before that I'd like to pound out the plot further and get an actual script written, as opposed to just a mental outline. And I'm aware that /jp/ pretty much hates everything. I'm surprised I'm getting such a warm reception in the first place.

Also, pic related; it's Patchy's drug dealer.

Of course you do, Arc wrote it.

If you want to impress, you'll have to make something of that tier. (mind you, not "of that style", if you try to take elements from that, you'll fail horribly)

Perhaps I should clarify; I didn't really plan to write anything rude, lewd, or nude, so to speak. I just wanted to try on Patchy in a different setting and different time-frame. At least, that was my original intention with the two fics in my head.

man, it's always weird reading something that's actually any good these days. These college kids just don't know how to write like someone I've never heard of on /jp/. There's no pretension, the building of suspense is done flawlessly, and I've never seen so many different words for rude titties used in one story.

Isn't there an OC thread this would be better posted in?

and why bother posting intentions when you could just write it then post it, though then you'd get run off for fan-fiction, you're better off in some place like one of the other touhou sites.

My only regret was not getting enough pages to extend fully and try the rhythmic panels idea. And that I'm practically the only one that remembers this when it shows that /jp/ people can get together and do something decent.

Anyway, godspeed. The only advice I can give is that you should make something that you can look at and be satisfied with it. Be harsh with yourself, view it as you would any other piece of fan work. Does it stand on its own? Does it expand the character interpretation? Is there a story being told at all?

Writing is hard, and doing it to be subject to the interpretation of an artist is doubly so. Be clear with what you both want, but leave them space. Also, try reading other comic scripts because they have some tools that you might find useful communicating with an artist, should you be lucky to find one.

Once again, I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor. Make yourself proud.

Same question I have. Nobody here is particularly interested in fan fiction that already exists, so hypothetical unwritten fan fiction that might or might actually become real at some unspecified point of the future is even less worthy of comment.

if i wanted to do it for the fame I'd be posting with a tripcode. I mean, I do like fame, but I think I'll focus on the actual story before getting caught up in masturbatory fanfair.
