When is the best time for a NEET to go Grocery Shopping? And where do you grocery shop?

Any grocery shopping tips?

I shop at Top Foods most of the time (http://www.top-foods.com), I like that there are no minorities or other scary people there because its so expensive, but it's expensive on the downside.

If you do it late at night you only draw attention to yourself.

If you kill some one, what's the point of going grocery shopping afterwards?

You can just eat them for awhile.

That's the catch, most of them are either busy or haven't really woken up yet, so they won't really pay attention. Even if they do, they don't have accumulated enough stress to make bad thoughts yet. Plus, when it's morning, it's a bit more acceptable not to look well-groomed. Pretend you're the Dude in the first scene of the Big Lebowski, some teenager might even find you cool.

I am no longer a NEET and work casually in a grocery store. I'd recommend early morning. Like 6 AM. Just get off /jp/ and hour early, go shopping then go to bed. It's what I used to do.

It usually gets real busy a 9, then slow till 11 then it's busy till 1. After 3 it's busy for a couple of hours due to school kids etc.

Early morning is by far the quietest period.

Does anyone else feel weird about buying produce at Wal-Mart?

>> No.7915417

>>7915407
Yeah, don't.

Wal Mart literally has fucked up and shitty produce.

They're notorious for fucking over farms by making absurd demands, or having their delivery truck show up super fucking late so farms just throw all of their worst shit at them (They can't ignore Wal Mart because they're too big of a market, and also breaking a contract would get Wal Mart's lawyers on their dick and bankrupt them). Even if Walmart didn't constantly fuck over farms, they're not interested in high quality product anyway. They just want the cheap shit.

Eat some produce from Walmart and then eat it from a higher tier grocery store. It'll be completely different.

I work in produce at a supermarket chain in Australia. Unfortunately if sales are low for a few days the produce on show is so-so quality, still fine but nothing compared to what comes in of a morning.

People would rather shop in a shop that is FILLED and looks packed but with "meh" stock than a shop that doesn't look overly full with all fresh shit.

My cousin who once worked at Wal-Mart told me to never eat the produce or meats from there.

He never stated exactly why I shouldn't, but I always followed that piece of advice he gave me.

>> No.7915456

I can order my groceries online, and get them delivered at a time of my choosing.
They don't even bother knocking, they just leave them by the door.
Sometimes they leave them on the wrong side and I have to manoeuvre around my security door, which is unfortunate.

Walmart has really low quality meat (especially since they don't have proper butchers, they didn't want the butcher unions lowering their profits and its not like your average pleb is going to notice that their meat is shit when they overcook it into a hockey puck).

They're also notorious for having fucking disgusting refrigerator safety. Meat refrigerators are the worst because all of the blood and shit is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. If a meat refrigerator isn't properly cleaned every night it becomes toxic as fuck, and Walmart just isn't interested in the cost of maintaining one properly.

Repairing a broken refrigerator is incredibly costly too, so a lot of the refrigerators might not be even keeping the meat at a proper temperature. This is a less of a concern with meat than regular frozen shit at walmart though. if you ever notice a refrigerator full of Sunny D or Velvetta at a Walmart that refrigerator is probably busted and can't properly cool. Because SunnyD and Velvetta/other fake cheese products don't have to be legally refrigerated they keep the illusion up by stocking it with them.

What do you want to know about?

Don't buy appliances, bikes, etc. at Walmart. They might have the same brand name, but they are made with shit tier quality parts. Especially bicycles. It might have that same brand name, but it's made from the worst quality parts, and it was assembled by a Vietnamese guy (at my walmart) who didn't give a fuck.

Electronics might be, but you have to worry about the fact that the people who are hired to unload the trucks play with the televisions and shit when the truck is late. Don't blame them too much though, their job is really shitty due to the fact that Walmart doesn't have their delivery trucks use Pallets most of the time. It takes up too much space, so they just pack shit in without Pallets. Really fucking shitty to be an unloader.

Anything that is sold through a vendor will probably be fine. Pepsi/Coke, some of the ramen (not the generic Top Rammen, Nissan Cup Noodles, and shit, but the higher quality more expensive ramen that costs like a dollar instead of 20 cents and tastes 50x better).

Buy Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toilet Paper, etc. at Walmart. That's all safe and not going to matter.

On another note, if anyone brings up an item to a register, and doesn't want it, the cashier will throw it into a bin that is not very carefully maintained. By the time the bin is restocked a lot of the items get fucked up.

Why NEET would need any special time to go shopping? I guess you are talking about Hikikomori.

At morning it's usually cheapest and most things are fresh and only people in shopping places are old people.

>> No.7918211

I used to go to foodlion at 3am. I was in a small town so it'd be dead except for a single person on checkout and maybe someone cleaning the floors. What was interesting is seeing the people you wouldn't see out at day.. Satanists with crazy hair, midgets, methaddicts who look like they crawled out of a gutter. Oh and of course what I assume are fellow neets, the almost regular looking neckbeards who have a wild deer-in-headlights look about them.

I figure any produce store outside of a family-run operation or a fruitstand is going to be nasty. It's just one of those things you have to assume, because the people handling your food don't give 2 shits about it, they're only concerned with getting paid and going home. The same would be true for yourself.

I worked at a walmart (warehousing) for six months.
>>7915523 isn't true, at least for the place I worked at. The trucks were loaded with pallets and we didn't unbox shit and goof around with it. IIRC the only stuff that wasn't on pallets was soda, which is on those weird crate things.

About the food, obviously it's low quality. You get what you pay for after all.

The nearest grocery store to me is a Mexican run meat market. Getting regular stuff is easy enough but I have to talk to the butchers if I want meat. I usually have to spend 5-10 minutes gathering my courage before I can ask them for a pound of chicken or something.
