The homu threads are probably the most feel-good threads on /jp/. I've yet to see any baiting in those.

Though it was revealed that the Anons who hate a lot of our anime threads are actually people from /a/. This is because they associate that anime with the fanbase they're used to in /a/, and seeing that show again in /jp/ brings back their old memories of /a/sspain.

The rest of us have no exposure to that /a/ fanbase though, so we just simply enjoy the threads.

That really depends on the anime in question. I think it's kind of hard to avoid the terrible /a/ fanbase for madoka, because they love it to an disproportionate degree for reasons I cannot fathom, and it spills over to other boards and sites. It was my impression that the homuhomu threads were of this type. I would be fine with never hearing anything about madoka magica ever again for the rest of my life. But there are people running around finding an excuse to post kyubei in any thread by making some kind of vague madoka reference.

That may have happened in 1 Madoka thread but not the other 2 to 4 of them that were being made. Back when Madoka was airing a few threads were being made here and caused the people on /jp/ to start spouting off the phrase "Madoka is shit" in a way to tell them to piss off. Almost as a challenge to that people started spamming Madoka threads. It could have been /a/nons who sometimes view /jp/ or it could have been /jp/ anons who liked Madoka. Either way it was more than 1 thread being spammed and it was more /a/ material.
