Lightspeed is just a universal speed limit that was made up to make some other pieces fit. Tachyons are theoretical, but still possible. Also, quantum entanglement shits all over lightspeed.

Really? I went to a lecture a few years ago and apparently scientists were looking into it. Say you have a few quantum entangled particles in pairs at a distance, and Spin A represents binary 0 and Spin B represents binary 1, then you can manipulate the particles to have their states (and corresponding data) duplicated at a distance.
Although I know nothing about physics (the lecture was basically a school trip during my A-levels) and it's possible I misunderstood.

No you're right, if you send all types of information through entanglement then it will be recreated in it's opposite state.

It doesn't have to travel anywhere, to be faster than light - that's the whole point.

Also, it's pretty much accepted in science now. The other anon may be right about FTL at large distances. But a 1 and 0 is still information, and it's recreated in it's entangled state - and thus can be read (as data).

And FTL is probably impossible since it fucks with everything ever, and QE exists but it doesn't function in a way that somehow allows FTL.

So don't worry. As life prolonging science gradually gets better, you will live longer and longer. You will all know how it feels to venture into space and travel at lightspeed. The downside is that you will probably have the body of a 90-year-old man by then.
