Games have always been short and lacking depth. Honestly I think they were better when they could be beaten in 2-4 hours and the plot was "save this guy/planet from the badguys."

The focus on visuals(not just graphics, but cutscenes and mouth motions and so on) over gameplay and the rewarding of shitty players is getting on my nerves, however. Also I hate excessive voice acting. I'm probably alone in this, but I'd prefer characters to not make noises unrelated to fighting something, taking orders, or giving me feedback.
