Yea, I've played through DE:HR. I was so terrible at hacking that I bought every AUD I possibly could just to save myself the embarrassment and had many a shootout start while in the hacking interface. Thankfully the A.I. is so bad I could always force them into a choke point and stack 'em ten high.

Surprisingly, just like Crysis 2 it felt better (if a bit clumsy at times) with a controller. The mouse was just broken for some reason.

I used a custom FOV for my custom res because in 2D I prefer playing in 2.40:1 (or 2.20:1 if I'm feeling saucy). Guess the game didn't like it.

Is there a specific FOV it wants? I was thinking about throwing it back on to check out that debug menu stuff later.

Well I found out what the problem was; it doesn't like my 120Hz display. If play on an ol' timey 60Hz pos, the mouse doesn't lag at all (relatively speaking, as 60Hz feels much laggier to me by default).

Some of the debug options are cool, now I can run and be invisible forever (pic chosen to show off Sharpen Complex v2 helping the blurry textures).

The defaults add too much ringing (for my tastes anyway) so you can turn down "SharpenEdge" and "Sharpen_val0" to lessen it.

Though I probably won't buy the latter until it drops in price since I only care about the singleplayer campaign. What games are you looking forward to for the rest of the year, "Retired-Aya" guy?

You know Dead Island is actually starting to grow on me. Sure it's rough around the edges, but it's satisfying when you manage to survive a battle with a bunch of zombies when all you have is pathetically flimsy melee weapons and a very useful kick.

Arkham City is probably the one I'm looking forward to the most that's not a shooter of some sort. Otherwise it's mostly just the big name sequels of which Gears 3 and Uncharted 3 (though I haven't even started 2 yet) are at the top.

Yup (I have a bunch of DLC, more than a dozen PS1 games etc). It's been a while now, but I used a guy on eBay. Unfortunately I no longer have the receipts to tell you who that was, but eBay was definitely the cheaper and faster option for me. I also bought from play-asia once (back when they used to send it by mail on a cheap print-out), so there's that option as well. I haven't bought any PSN cards from them since they went digital though.

I ordered a 3000yen card 4-5 hours ago, no code yet. I'm assuming no one is working there over the weekend, so it will probably take until next week. And to make matters worse, FedEx doesn't deliver packages on Saturday, so my copy of Tales of Xillia is stuck in Cologne until Monday... Stupid lazy amerifat company. Aw, you should have at least played a few more missions. The tutorial is really simple (for obvious reasons), but it gets pretty interesting once the maps become more complex and you have access to more units.

Apart from school/work-related stuff? Nothing. I tend to keep to myself whenever possible because I don't share any interests with regular people. I don't watch any (German) TV at all, I don't smoke, I don't drink, I dislike drunk people, parties, brainless whores and loud music. I don't want to waste my time bitching about high immigration rates, increasing taxes or other people behind their back. Instead I like to focus on pursuing my personal goals while enjoying some video games and J-Drama. Do people think I'm weird? Sure, but I've been doing this for way too long to still give a fuck.

It's just a faster/lighter version of 7 with a touch-centric secondary UI. The new explorer ribbon can be tucked away neatly and I haven't had any showstopping bugs as of yet (that's not to say there aren't plenty of issues though). All in all, not too bad for early software.
