He's not the only one.

Somebody put it very well in the last thread; Griffon figs have no soul. There are other issues, but this is the biggest one.
Their faces are so... I don't know how to put it. Lifeless? They just seem generic, as if they have a selection of faces, and just pick one that seems to work for each new fig.
Their QC is often an issue, but I think that's been overcome for the most part.

They do actually have fairly nice paint work; I love the look of the dress on my Alice, but at the same time, the way it's shaped, combined with the way the belt/ribbon bit is makes it look unnatural, as if it can't possibly blow that way.

Regardless, you're welcome to your opinion, but that doesn't change the fact that their overall quality is low.

My Tony Miku just broke this morning. The hole in her left foot became stretched so she slipped out of the peg, and the increased strain broke off the peg in her right foot. Looks like I'm going to have to get creative with some superglue to make her stand up again.

Those are the "gashapon" scale I was referring to. (Gashapon is what Bandai calls their capsule figures) Konami call their capsule toys something else, but I couldnt tell you what that is.

Anyhow, I already have the Konami ones. Old pic is very old though, with plenty of dust on them from the home renos that year. Not sure why there is a Walther pistol there either.

Many of the pics I posted in this past year were taken during the especially messy phases of some home renos (knocking down wall, drywall dust, etc.)

That pic was one of the worst of them from 2010.

I would dust the figures, and then like 48 hours later this powder would cover every room in the house.

Besides putting them in storage for several months, I just dusted them periodically. (From what I heard, drywall dust isn't as bad as normal household dust which is made from dead skin flakes. It has none of the harmful oils in it that ruin paint).

I bought a handful of GKs, lots of paint, airbrush, dremel, sandpaper, and even a room set aside for model painting (I used to do tanks, etc).

But now I have no time (due to above mentioned perpetual home renos), and I never completed any of the GKs because I can't paint the fucking eyes.

I am now at the point where I am ready to just pay people to paint figures. I saw a few services online, and I think that is the way to go.

Yea a lot of these I bought like 5 years ago, and none of them had eye decals. Places sold generic sheets of various eye decals, but they all seemed kind of "derp faced" looking.

Have you tried using a bunch of masking tape and a sharp knife?

that usually makes getting to small areas a lot less of a hassle.

Otherwise, solid black for the whole eye couldn't go too wrong.
