It was just a u rage u ruse with at least one incorrect statement per second starting with the title which makes you think it's going to be a cosplay video. They also used clips from some people's videos without their permission trying to make them look as dumb as possible. They could have gotten sued but I don't think anyone had the courage to. There are all these really gay sound effects for each clip. If you can find it, it will be the normalfag thing you've ever seen in your life.

Kigurumi is a more "accurate" way of cosplaying anime characters as you can look much more similar to the character you're depicting. (Size of head, unblemished skin, padding, etc.)

It's sort of hard to say for everyone though. Some fursuiters are simply "cosplaying their original character" in a way no different than you'd see someone cosplaying an original Vocaloid or whatever. The community is very "avatar"-centric. You're pretty much required to have one, so the level of connection someone has with how they represent themselves online varies.

It really depends on the character. Some costumes have a neutral expression, but that's because the character themselves is serious/stoic/calm in nature. It just feels strange to have a normally genki character with a flat or serene expression, I think. A lot of kigs perform irl, outside the world photographs, so unless you watch videos or meet one, you don't get the full idea of the character acting involved. The expression becomes less strange when all of the body language is tailored to fit it.

Even just finding people to talk to one-on-one online about this stuff is a huge step up from 4chan threads and the like, and really refreshing. I'd recommend it! It's hard to find people to click with in the community though, since obviously a lot of them are either entry-level anime fans or people in it for reasons different than you.

Old ass video, but I was just thinking about the G4 report when I saw this again. It's such a big difference. While G4 was all HURRHURR WHAT WEIRDOS, these guys asked polite questions, played games, dressed up their guest star, and generally had a good time and showcased the fun, cute side of things. There are a few place.

Studio Sigma and Wyu are the only two that I can recall of the top of my head. These things are very expensive though.

There are some guides to making your own if you are so inclined. Wyu has a good guide and so does n-mew.

What happened with Kei was just an honest and unfortunate accident and misunderstanding. We all had a wonderful time at the con and got along well, but sometimes a person's shyness can cause a lot of irrational and hasty decision's like his. Just because a person in kigurumi shows things like that doesn't mean they're a honest kig. It just means they are more open about their fetish side. Keeping things to yourself does not make you dishonest and not all kigurumi are into the fetish aspect of kigurumi. I think it's unfair to condemn someone for not being into the fetish aspect. I have no issue with it but I don't dislike the people who dislike it or hate the people who like it. I think it would be a better all around community if people could be more accepting of one another. I wouldn't know too much. From my point of view, if you pull a convincing cosplay off, then it's perfectly fine. I'm guessing it's acceptable at conventions as everybody else is wearing a costume. (And referring back to my previous point, if it's well done then nobody would care.)

For me, performing kigurumi would be slightly difficult. From an economic point, I can support myself. My physique is rather small and short, but my arms are quite thick and my shoulders are wide. Although with a costume I'm sure I can hide them.

I must say, Sigma masks are excellent. They're expressive and cute. But I'll still have love for Nukopan/Iluca/etc.
