If Higanbana manages to do outperform Umineko in terms of epicness, then I swear to god I will take off my clothes and run around naked in the city. Though from the OP, it seems that the overall atmosphere and pacing will be a lot different. The coloring style is also quite different, focusing a lot on the shading, which might be a little nudge at the dark atmosphere of the story.
But really, I’m definetely looking forward to it. Here’s hoping Mangagamer picks this game up, like they did with Higurashi.

Has to be said, Ryu07 shot himself in the leg by looking at a Christie work for inspiration. He also inherited her modesty too. I recall a character in one of Christie's books naming good mystery authors and her own name actually came up. How far up your own ass does your head have to be to do this.

Also /a/ didn't even know about Umineko until the anime aired, which was if memory serves around episode 5 but /jp/ has what's probably the most split up community of all the boards, what with the idolfags, the tohofags, the vnfags and whoever else I forgot. It's very likely that over half this board hated Umineko from the start.

Due to a feel of progression I think most people will wait on the episode 8 translation before picking up a translation (if any) for this. It's not about these being related it's about actually finishing an author's work before picking up another one of his. I think the majority of /jp/ that actually needs English translations won't be able to hold back from turning these threads into Umineko threads until episode 8's translation is behind us.

Hi Anons, they say in Animesuki that there are two versions of Higanbana: The first one, is the legit and not yet online, and the other is a fake version with all the music replaced by Umineko music.

Can somebody confirm?

PS: The mediafire links are the fake version, all the music is Umineko related.

I confirm. If you look at the music box, there is some bug which indicate that songs are false.
