Not with the card itself, but the program that came with the card is terrible. The window it displays the video feed in is locked at a 16:10 aspect ratio, which means that there are always black borders at the top and bottom. This wouldn't be a problem if the recording function of the program was worth a damn (because it actually records in 720p/1080i, regardless of the size of the window), but the quality of the resulting file is horrible. So I was thinking about using Fraps, but it records the whole window, including the borders. Which, again, wouldn't be a problem if MeGUI was capable of processing the .avi files that Fraps saves the recordings as (I'd have to reencode them anyway because they are too big, so I might as well crop the borders in the process). Now I'm downloading Sony Vegas, maybe that'll work.

I opened up Fraps' output just fine in AVISynth last time I used it so I don't know what the problem could be there.

At first it didn't work because I was missing a plugin (ffm2.dll) that I then downloaded in multiple different versions, all of which caused MeGUI to crash. But it doesn't really matter, since Sony Vegas was able to process Fraps' files just fine. The preset "Internet 720p30" works amazingly well for YouTube, I'm really impressed with how good (by YouTube standards) the quality is.
