Hi I'm the guy that was proposing a Gensokyo creative build server. Still working on paying my server bill, but I still plan to make the server. I plan to give builders huge power to shape the world.

i found out this weird as HELL mask on my maid, just give her all diamond armor set (without putting in the 3 slots to the left, also including helmet) and then right (or left) click the maid in the inventory window and she'll get this weird mask

If I had Minecraft I would totally use this.

Has anyone found out how to apply the skin packs properly? According to google translate, There is a way to have the textures applied without changing the one inside the .zip each time.

Basically the only thing you need to know about building a gensokyo, is Moriya on the mountain, Hakurei near the forest, and SDM on a lake.

The rest is up to interpretation.

Don't know if this is the answer you're looking for, but I add them to mob\littleMaid\ALTERNATIVE in minecraft.jar. The default skins are still there, and you change to the alternate by clicking the maid's portrait while in her inventory.

You don't need to add the mod to the .jar, Modloader can externally load it from your .minecraft/mods/ folder. Theres also an option in the cfg file that you can change to have it load a different skin, and apparently there is a way to have it load them directly from the zip file for the skins without modifying the lmm zip. Then again, I could be completely wrong because I used google translate.

Someone posted last thread that you can put maids on the zabuton cushions located at the top of your house, and if they have a bow they will shoot any mob that approaches the house.

Ok, I have this working on a server, but I think it conflicts with Mo Creatures. Every time I try to stick something in the meido I get disconnected with an "internal server error" message. Any ideas or experience with this?

I just put the zip file for the mod in the server's mod folder just like for the client. The server already had mod loader and audio mod. It's really glitchy (not sure if it's because of the lmm or because it's conflicting with mo creatures), and I can't give stuff to the maids. They spawn everywhere and the voices work though.

As much as I'd like to debate with you over semantics, I'm fairly sure the post I made clearly stated the problem. And since the mod is loading, the maids spawn, and I can open their inventories/give them cake to tame them, I would even go as far as to say that it is partially "working."

My post wasn't intended to say "Hey look I have maids on my server! Let's be friends, and grow our maid harems together." It was intended to ask if anyone else had encountered the same difficulties or knew of a possible fix.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who has tried to add these wonderful little helpers to a server. While you may have been hoping that someone had come along with clearly written English instructions on how to make a maid server or with an IP for one you can connect to that has it working flawlessly, I am not that person. If I toy with it more and find a solution, or someone else comes along with an answer, I'll be sure to be kind enough to contribute it however.

Also, someone made a k-on skin for them.

I choose to only have one maid, she stayed with me for a while, probably two and a half in-game weeks.

But then I realised what I was doing. She was useless to me, I kept her inside my house the entire time, I didn't want to risk her getting hurt by fighting, in the end the only purpose she had was greeting me when I returned. What kind of life was this? to be stuck in the same place forever being forced to greet someone who ignored you. I couldn't just tell her to leave, and I didn't want her to get killed by a monster.

I cleared a large piece of land and filled it with the same yellow flowers that dyed her hair, and then I made a grave. After pushing her in I equipped my sword and turned off the volume so that her screams wouldn't haunt me.

I uninstalled the mod after that.

You realise that if you gave her diamond armor, a diamond sword, and a whole inventory full of stacks of sugar, It would take at least a good four minutes for the maid to get killed, right? Thats with her getting attacked by a zombie, skeleton, or spider, mind you. A creeper wouldnt kill her, but if there were maybe 3 or so blowing up at the same time, im pretty sure it would. Lava would kill her in about a minute if she decided to take a swim. Fire would be extinguished before she would die to it.

So tl;dr: you were too much of a pussy to properly equip your maid, and ended up killing her due to your faggotry.

Anyone have any idea why after quitting my maids don't react to me at all? Like right clicking them doesn't bring up the menu.

Do you mean quitting the game, or the maids quitting? The maids quit after a few days if they get no sugar, and revert to their wild state. If they don't interact with you when you quit the game and restart, its a mod conflict.

Are the maid supposed to become wild again upon reloading the game?

Yes and no. Yes if you havent paid them and they were at the end of their service time when you logged. No if they had sugar in their inventory. That would be a mod conflict or bug. I doubt it would be a bug, or else the modder would have updated it by now.

The little Maid Mob Mod. The ones on the offshoot of that are all just skin packs and a sound pack I think. The others are all optional, but I prefer getting the MobEgg mod, and the Zabuton mod as well.
