HOW TO INSTALL PLUGINS:
put the .vac file into your Plugin folder in the CM3D root folder

HOW TO INSTALL TEXTURES.
get CM3D extractor, drag texture.vac on the extractor.exe
receive "texture" folder
go into texture folder, look for the right .png, replace and done
drop texture folder on the extractor.exe
receive texture.vac
your previous texture.vac is saved as texture.vac.old

Bumping all the time isn't necessarily a good thing. The flockdraw gents were smart, they encouraged the use of sage to only bump the thread a couple of times a day. That kept the hate out of the discussions.

Any else get these errors when they enter the character editor? It only started happening after I installed the skill pack.
I also have a fuck ton of mods, so I think they're the problem.

Yes. Personally, I've disabled all my mods as I'm too lazy to find out which ones are responsible. Back in an earlier version, starting a new game instead of continuing from an save from an old version occasionally prevented crashs as well.

if you install the skillpack and 1.16, you cannot use custom plugins unltil you install 1.17

That's the only problem one, as far as I know, if you're using the big cherry picked mod pack. It's the earliest Senou Natsuru mod listed in the mod catalog, so if you still want that particular hair just use any of the later versions, they worked without a problem for me.

Is there any way at all (perhaps a mod) to remove a maid's skirt while keeping their socks?

Just reinstalled to check out the the skill pack. Have there been any mods like desuwa's Merry Nightmare plugin, where the character is preset for you? I'd like to mess around with some characters, too, but I don't feel like messing around with textures.

Also, nice work on keeping up the threads and cataloging, it's certainly been quite a while.

Realized that 719 and its updates were sort of what I was looking for, a bunch of character presets. Doesn't actually include the parts though, like the Merry Nightmare one does, how exactly does this work? Do I need to download the particular character's parts and the presets put her together?

basically, a preset pulls from the small preset file just the size and parts values
if you have the mods installed it pulls the mod files, otherwise it does nothing
the easiest way is to install all mods, pretty much

I'm actually happy it's slower. uploading 10 mods a day was really tiring for a time

It came out in February, and I don't think you started too long after that. If I were you, I would keep it up as long as there's mod support still coming out. I appreciate it, because I stopped paying attention a few weeks after it came out, but since this thread was always here, I could keep up with the mods coming out, and I knew eventually I would reinstall it and check out the stuff I missed.

well, at the current pace I can probably keep doing this forever.
