To jog anyone who's played the game's memory:
The first wave is in the library. The second is when Gilbert and co. threaten to torture Noi and Nanoha. The 3rd is right before the decision point where you can see the CG with Noi taking the hit for Nanoha.

The 4rh is where I'm having trouble. I'll wait until the "Shrine Maiden" tells you that you're out of time, kill the enemies then, but then I end up at the fight with Gilbert and proceed to chapter 13. No idea what I'm doing wrong here.

Rewrite is out. Tenshi no Hane and Irotoridori both received favorable scores.

This year, Rance Quest (8), and Kajiri Kamui Kagura are coming out and worth looking forward to.

From Comiket, World End Economica, Kamidori append disc, and kind of Ryukishi07's new sound novel. Sucre is coming out, but it's only good for drowning in hopelessness.

Mahou Tsukai no Yoru and Kaeru by Circletempo may come out this year, both don't have defined release dates yet.

Giga is releasing a new RPG, and there's the Applique fan disk (which doesn't come out this year iirc).

That's stupid, you can read English but you can distinguish a skilled writer with its own style from a boring shitty one even if English is nothing special to you.
There's plenty of people who care about writers and writing style in eroge, and they can udnerstand the nuances of the language better than foreign student no matter how proficient, I'd guess, but quality isn't the same thing as using obscure kanji (see: France Shoujo).

Basically half of the script is about how absolutely perfect and amazing Ayame is and how everybody like him, the cast is really shallow and you can see basically everything coming of since the story is predictable as hell and really corny at that.

Aside from that, age has 2 "stealth" projects going on right now (TE VN, Elfen Blaze), had the main artist for the game do two others, presumably working on the TE VN as well as they seem to be pushing him as the TE artist now, got the original writer who I believe had left age to write and change the very meager script into something longer, as well as introduce a ton of new characters, and presumably made changes to modernize and streamline the game, and the other two age writers have been working on other stuff like Schwarzesmarken and Chronicles 02, and probably working on Chronicles 03.

True. If it weren't for Vivian, Petunia or Hakkaku (let's throw Dowth in there too) I'd have dropped it after the first route. Those characters alone made it bearable.

>> No.7729651

>>7729640
I on the other hand dropped it in the middle of the first route because those characters were so awesome and I couldn't stop wishing for them being the main focus.
Or maybe I just hated the main characters

Its not exactly a VN but I figured I'd be the best place to ask, Anyone know where I can find a download for BigBangBeat? Theres a demo & a full version floating around but all the links I've found so far are dead.

Their individual routes (almost) made up for the disappointment that was Chris' and how painfully dull Tees and Edric's were. Petunia was awesome, Hakkaku was adorable (even if his ending made me rage) and so was Dowth.

I don't know, I can't say I really like Tsukutori so far (finished Ayako's route and don't know how far into Yayoi's right now). I guess I really would prefer my detective games to have some sort of interactivity so I'd be more immersed.
Anyhow Ayako's route was quite meh, I thought. Hibiki not being blind was pretty obvious to me, and I despise bullying which this route had quite a few. Then random NTR gangrape in with no reason was absolutely ridiculous. I also didn't like how he was always going over about "I'll protect Ayako." "I'm doing it for Ayako's sake", oh give me a break, I'm bored of cliche stuff like this. The part I enjoyed was the protag going delusional with random people going after their life.
Then this route with Yayoi (and Ruru?)... Oh fuck me, I'm sick and tired of GUESSING WHICH TWIN IS AT WHICH SCENE. Sigh.

Should I continue if stuff so far really disappointed me, or it gets a lot better later?

Also I don't mean offense toward anyone, but this artwork in general is one of the worst I have ever seen, even subpar to the doujin games I can think of.

You know, there is a reason why this game is divided in question and answer arc, you basically got everything wrong so far seeing your spoiler text.
Stop looking at red herring like it's the truth, look deeper.

>> No.7731255

>>7731208
Actually if you are going to drop it and want some spoilers
In the first arc the brother isn't the culprit, basically everything he and Ayako did was to run away from the village, the last scene with them "dieing" was actually fake, there is a secret exit in the house. Of course nobody in the village really believe in their god and Ayako really hate what happen to her and hate her village.
For the second arc there is no twin sister, that girl died when she was a kid, what happen is that the oldest sister is trying to trap and kill her "father" who is basically the true bad guy of the game, the little sister was raped by him as a kid and basically got some Stockholm syndrome going on with him so she defends him.

>>7731208
>>7731255
And to finish, the answer arcs are mostly played from the povs of the heroine and are really good, Tsukutori actually has a strong plot that become much more massive that you'd think in the last route.

Of course if you buy the obvious red herring and go ZOMG RAPE NTR BULLYING IT'S SHIT you could just drop it now.

What determines how much exp a weapon gets in Baldr Sky? Is it just usage, or damage, or?

>> No.7732137

>>7732063
Might not be entirely correct, but from what I've seen, using it and hitting nothing gives 10 XP. You get additional exp depending on damage done using that weapon, and even more if you killed an enemy using it.

>> No.7732146

>>7732137
Not that guy but...
You get exp for just using it?
Goddamnit time to level up all the useless shit.

>> No.7732223

>>7732146
10 exp is pretty bad though, it'll take you years to level the useless stuff.

Some weapons do require less exp than others for master though, for example the Magnetic Field gun (which was very very awesome) which slowed things down leveled up ridiculously fast compared to some of the shitty projectile attacks, but you cannot kill anything with it.
