It's not that I dislike Rin, it's just that Akiha and Akira are superior.

Akiha has class and elegance and is completely devothed to Shiki. Rin is just kind of a bro that you end up randomly having sex with on UBW. She's always around but she never really feels like a lover, whereas Akiha is a much more important figure rather than someone who mostly acts to explain what's going on to the protagonist.

People are just butthurt about Akiha because she's so critical of Shiki during the near side of the moon.

Akiha have even more sweet personality than Rin. Despite when she is jealous for Shiki hang out other girls or bitching for worried what Shiki doing dangerous things, she cares for Shiki more than any other heroins on every routes. And she has more dere than Rin.

The problem is, Akiha doesn't really work with anyone but Shiki.
On the other hand, Rin's relationship with Shirou isn't anything special.
So, while I like them both(I think Rin's a better character, while Akiha fits my fetishes better), choosing Rin is the only logical choice.

The Jeweled Sword should not be counted as a part of Rin's abilities. Shirou made it for her, and if Rin ever wants to use it again, it's Shirou who has to make her another one. They say in the VN that she could eventually make one herself, but that it would take years, and a fortune, and she doesn't have either of those when we're talking about preparing for a fight.

A couple suggested alterations:

- Make it so that the game doesn't force you to play Kohaku's route immediately after Hisui's route. The former really suffers because it's at least 50% the same and really seems more like an alternate ending to Hisui's route than a full-fledged route of its own.
- On that note, separate Ciel's route more from Arcueid's. It felt like there wasn't a Ciel route, there was just the Arc route and a second Arc route with more Ciel.
- In AKiha's route there's that weird ending that you get twice, only one of the times it doesn't count as an ending. Even though it's literally the exact same scene, word for word.
- Shorten that massive noninteractive part in Hisui's route way the fuck down, that thing went on far too long. You know what I'm talking about.

And for the inevitable FSN remake (because Nasu will never ever create anything original again):
- Give us a route where Shirou allies with Shinji, and you fight Rin
- Make it the FIRST route so that teaming up with Rin will feel like more like a reward in the later ones (this will be wicked awesome)

I might be alone in this, but this was actually my favorite part of the game. I love reading about insanity, and Shiki's inability to differentiate reality from his dreams, his muddied train of thought, his 'schizophrenia' just fit in so well with the surrealistic atmosphere of the Tohno mansion in my opinion.

Tsukihime as a whole needs less Arcueid, not more. I always liked the prospect that when Shiki decides to take care of his family business Arc and Ciel go fuck themselves and clean up their own mess.

But yeah, if the theoretical Satsuki arc really does tie in with Melty Blood then it will have to deal with killing Nero/Roa and defucking Kohaku in a single route.

This is an herculean task I am not sure Nasu is capable of doing right, so it is a good thing the remake will never be released anyway.

Did anyone besides me actually like this part? The VN goes on about how frail and weak Shiki is, and that finally having a consequence in the story was refreshing after all the matrix kung-fu he performed in the other routes.
I also dug how Shiki was become more and more insane. Some of the best parts in Tsukihime involve Shiki going crazy, and some of the best parts of Shiki going crazy where when he was incapacitated in bed.

I'm happy as a TYPE-MOON fan

For some reason I think Sion will be involved in Sacchin route in the remake. Maybe I am wrong, but I got feeling for it.

Akiha is of noble blood, carries herself regally, and as her Vermillion personage has a full moon motif.
Kohaku has a connection to the moon in a folklore-ish sense. Tricksters, and trickster foxes in particular, are often associated with the moon. Witchcraft is also associated with the moon in superstition. Kohaku is both a trickster and something like a witch.

Honestly, Arcueid being the main character never felt right to me. In Tsukihime, even if she was tied into a lot of the stories, there's really nothing elevating her above that of the other heroines.

Its exactly the same thing in Clannad, where Nagisa is only considered a main heroine because KEY said so.
