It is not often that a computer breaks down in a way that makes data irretrievable, you should've researched it a bit more

Average quality, though there are ways to filter out low seldom bookmarked ones, but there are decent ones that have few bookmarks too. Mostly its tedium, sorting through many images to find a nice one, a booru is a bit better about it, as well as more accessible to the average westerner, but not as...complete.

Yeah, this. My external HD shit itself and I nearly lost about 40% of my data including all my touhou reaction images, but after spending a day or two googling and running Recuva I managed to get nearly everything back

Likely its a case of OP having a prebuilt. I really wish epople didn't get those, you're so at the mercy of the vendor, sending it back for expensive repairs while they dawdle around then tell you there's another problem. and data recovery in particular is an expensive business even if its as simple as an OS breakdown.

LaCie

I'm still not even sure what exactly happened. I powered down the HD and removed its connections after I *thought* I ensured that my computer was no longer accessing it, and later I reconnected it and powered it on to find 40% of my files missing. A few checkdiscs and defrags later, I ran Recuva twice for 16 hours straight until my computer blue screened for reasons I still do not fully understand, and then when I next booted my computer up, all my files were back

Computers are fucking weird, man

More stable now than before. Floppy disk storage was a nightmare. and I remember so many intermittent problems with networking from windows 95 to 2k, absolutely refusing to make a connection then inexplicably working after I repeat the same EXACT troubleshooting procedure the nth time, no explanations.

It actually thoroughly amazed me in windows XP that I could actually get computers to connect to each other with dynamic IPs, just blew my mind.

For me, no underwear is canon Tewi. She always seemed like a wild child to me, forgoing undergarments and shoes, just wearing her dress because it's all the managed to put on her as she ran out the door.

Hmm, that's hard to say. I haven't seen much of her canon personality because I haven't worked my way up to IN yet. I guess it's not enough to just say that I love all touhous, and so I love her as well, is it?

Well, I like how she seems to be the sort of person who can be mean and sarcastic because she finds it humorous, but then goes and does something kind hearted for complete strangers. This could be more fanon than anything, though, so I won't give it much weight

The opposite, actually. They look at how pathetic a hunter you are and worry about you so they bring you some kills. That's the just the first step in it's training. The next step is eating the kill.
