Got a context question for you.
Anyone who’s not a newfag has heard things like most of the endings in VN's like Bible Black, Higurashi and one ot two in Tsukihime, as well as the end of TV-adaptations like School Days referred to as “Bad Ends” (also referring to non-VN sources like TTGL, which does indeed have a “Bad End”).

However, I’d like to know where the term originated. I know it’s not a literal meaning, as it’s often used incorrectly as far as grammar, leading me to think the source was something in Engrish. Was there, for example, by any chance an old-school VN that when you got an unpleasant ending, read in broken English on the death-screen “BAD END” or something like that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just curious as to the sauce of the pseudo-meme.
