The honest truth is people ARE cyber bullies and they want to keep BEING cyber bullies so they desperately want to keep legislation against them from happening.

If you're a teen or a 20 something kid you have nothing to lose and often times these people (like the 4 chan crowd) have no hope for the future. They laugh off being hacked, scammed, having their credit cards stolen or otherwise.

But when you have a wife, kids, a home, and an actual bank account it becomes far more vital to protect what you have. If your own child could become involved in cyber bullying to the point they KILL THEMSELVES certainly you want some way to protect them from it.

This has happened before. 4chan seems to laugh it off but these are the same people that find humor only in the pain of others and enjoy things like repeatedly calling grieving parents over the suicide of their son saying they found his ipod.

These are not actions we wish to encourage for a healthy society. 4chan wants to defend it, 'oh give me a break it's funny, get over it' but in reality they say that because unlike the lives of those they hurt, they have nothing and no future.
