real answer : PCB is really easy on normal if you don't care about scoring. just figure out which spellcards you need to bomb, and break borders on stages 4+ to clear the screen

i've never easyed, i've beaten PCB several times on normal. my best attempt was me only using 1 continue. but some days i randomly fuck up over and over again (such as dying on stage 1). i then become super dissapoint in myself.

I spent 2 months to 1CC Normal PCB.
The key is playing Practice mode until you master those stages.
Training with STB also helps a lot.

i do this, i can easily get through the first 3 stages without dying and using only 1 bomb on alice. the prismriver sisters will usually take a life. then youmu completely fucks my shit. i seem to have more trouble with youmu than i do with yuyuko.

yes i know she takes forever to defeat bosses, i just can't seem to use marisa worth shit.

Just use Sakuya A and bomb when you are in a panic. And DON'T even try to death-bomb, it's too difficult.

You should also try to use your bombs.

If you get past Alice using only 1 bomb, you could try to master the first 3 stages also on Hard (Lunatic may be too much), then go back to normal and see if stage 4+ still causes you any trouble.

Grind on hard, then go back and play normal and suddenly everything becomes way easier.

Also, as others have said, experiment with different shot types; sometimes the one that seems like it would be the best doesn't suit your playing style. I spent who knows how long trying to 1cc MoF with Reimu needles to no avail (I wasn't even close; I'd lose it at Sanae). Then on a whim I tried Reimu's homing shot and 1cc'd it my first try.
